The only perfect government is God’s Government!
Stay right with God for His protection!

Greetings, everyone! Welcome to Sabbath services! Here it is the last Sabbath in May. June starts next week and time marches on!
We’re getting the Feast sites already to go; we’ll have a letter coming out in June. Looks like we’ll have some good Feast sites; however, everybody in Canada has to wait for an announcement from Norbert Bohnert, because the wonderful government of Canada has everybody locked down and they just love to lock up pastors of Christian churches.
It seems as though there is very little respite from the difficulties going on. Just when you think it can’t get any worse, it does.
So, let’s look at a number of Proverbs in one particular chapter. What this does is show you that God’s Word is always true down through time. The Proverbs were written about 3,000 years ago. I was talking to someone the other day who said, ‘The Hindu religion is older.’ I said, ‘Older that what?’ The person said, ‘Older than the Bible.’ I said, ‘No! The Bible goes clear back to creation!’ We’re dealing with:
- a God of Truth
- a God of love
- the Creator
and we’re made in His image! He is also:
- Lawgiver
That’s a nasty one that people don’t like! They like to come with their own opinion and say, ‘I like that part of it, but this part over here, I don’t like.’ Every word of God is God breathed! Paul told Timothy:
The only thing you preach is the Word of God! You preach it in season and out of season, for instruction, correction, inspiration and understanding.
Proverbs 29:2: “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice…”
Why did we end up with Biden, when everybody thought it was a slam-dunk for Trump? Well, the forces of evil combined—more than just within America—to steal the election and God didn’t stop it!
Why? Because when the good times roll, very few people think of God! That was their chance to repent! There are a lot of ‘religious’ people out there who claim to be Christian. They are far nicer, far better and understand certain things in the Scriptures than the rest of the perverted population.
But partial knowledge is not knowledge unto salvation. You can gather some things that are true, but what do you do with the things that are not true. We’ll cover that today.
“…but when the wicked rule, the people mourn” (v 2).
Is that not a perfect description of what’s going on today? I mean, even those of us who know the Truth, we go around kind of ‘hang dog’ because it’s so bad. We look at it and think that it can’t get any worse. Then we find out about this ‘changing gender’ thing! You didn’t know that was going on, did you?
When the righteous were in charge, did they try to stop that? Nope! If they did, there are too many unrighteous judges who are perverts and will back up anything that their political party says, because they’re loyal to the party and not to the truth and not to God! So, what good is a judge?
“…the people mourn” (v 2).
Did you see on television the interviews that were done for those people who had chemical, hormonal change? and operational surgical change? For a man to become a woman and a woman to become a man? Generally, after about five years they knew it was wrong and a mistake, but it’s too late!
One man that was able to recover after seven years said that the only thing that helped him was that he turned to God! But the schools can take your daughters down to Planned Parenthood and they can get testosterone given to them, administered to them, without the parents even knowing, because the poor little baby girl wants to be a boy.
That’s just one perversion! When the wicked rule, what happens? The cities burn, the murders increase, the immigrants come! All of that is punishment from God!
- For what?
- How many times have you heard that this is the greatest government in the history of mankind?
- Why is it failing? Because the perfection of man is not the perfection of God!
Now you see all the loopholes in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and the misapplication of it. “…when the wicked rule, the people mourn” (v 2).
Verse 4: “The king establishes the land by justice…”
Well now, if you’re not a Democrat you’re going to jail. If you’re a Democrat you can be as corrupt as possible and ‘we’ll take care of you like little Hunter Biden by the highest judicial branch in America, the Justice Department of the United States government. And the wonderful, sneaky FBI who won’t investigate.
“…but he who takes bribes tears it down” (v 4).
Look at all of those whom Biden has appointed. Every single one of them fits right there in v 4.
- Are they not tearing it down?
- Doesn’t the idiot who is supposed to be the Homeland Security administrator say, ‘The border is closed.’
That’s like saying when a dam breaks it just letting out a little water, until it comes down the valley and washes everything away.
This federal government and all the Democrat states… Not to say that the Republicans are perfect, so don’t anybody say that I’m favoring the Republicans. I’m not! I’m just pointing out that most of them have more morals than the Democrats.
The Democrats are not being led by people, but evil spirits and perhaps Satan himself! You need to understand that! Somebody is going to say, ‘Why are you saying all of this?’ Because God says to preach the Word in season and out of season! If it’s going on, it needs to be told, whether people like it or not!
Verse 12: “If a ruler hearkens to lies, all his servants are wicked.”
Take a look at the state of New York and New York City, the state of Illinois and Chicago, the state of Missouri and St. Louis, the state of Maryland and Baltimore—home state of our illustrious President. Take a look at Washington state, Oregon and especially Portland; San Francisco, Los Angeles in California. Then think about all of those people who are lawless who are in control.
Who is really the power behind the throne in Washington, D.C.? the person, not the spirit? George Soros! The spirit is Satan! This ‘perfect’ government that we have in America is unable to arrest him and get rid of him.
So, you see that the only true perfect government is God’s Government! God’s way!
Verse 14: “A king who faithfully judges the poor, his throne shall be established forever.”
That’s true always. One example today are the states of Florida and Texas. Both of those governors are watching out for the most vulnerable, and they’re doing things that are right. That doesn’t mean that they’re qualifying for eternal life. That’s just running a carnal nation or state. But they are blessed! That doesn’t mean that they don’t have problems. But when they have problems they solve them in a way that’s beneficial for the people.
Democrats, on the other hand, solve the problems in a way that they can corruptly give taxpayers’ money to all of their allies. Whether through a fake business or a fake project, or just by a grant. The trillions that Biden is proposing, most of it goes to the Democrats.
“…when the wicked rule, the people mourn” (v 2).
Verse 16: “When the wicked are multiplied…” Has this been happening? Not just increasing, but multiplying!
“…transgression increases…” (v 16).
- What do we have? More crime, more murder, more drugs, more immigrants, etc.!
- Why all of that? The people have rejected God!
And in doing what they’re doing does not mean that they aren’t well-intended, because some are. Those who are dedicated to evil are not well-intended for anything except for perpetuating their evil.
The other night when I was watching the news and I said, ‘Phooey!’ I turned it off and watched a baseball game. I watched that for a while and thought: this is nonsense! So, I turned it on the American History Channel, and they had on The Greatest Mafia Hits in History! Wonderful! I get to watch about murder! They have this little ad that’s on and this is for the Mafia: ‘We’re not criminals, we’re crooks and we’re here to make money.’ They can never get rid of them!
Verse 16: When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increases, but the righteous shall see their fall.”
The ultimate of that is the resurrection of the saints and the taking over of the world under Christ. Here’s the key for us, and this is what we must always do:
Verse 18: “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” The vision is:
- What is right?
- What do we do?
- How do we do it?
“…but happy is he who keeps the Law.”
If you obey God, even in the letter of the Law… There are two levels of people in the world.
Like Paul said, ‘The Gentiles who have not the Law, if they keep things in the Law, God acknowledges that.’ That’s what you call upright people in society. However, those are few and far between. Even when some start out that way, when they get older and things change, something happens to their thoughts. You’ve seen that, too, haven’t you?
This is what is happening. This is the history of the whole world beginning with Adam and Eve.
Deut. 30—This is the way life is. Every life on earth, every man, woman and child—whether young or old—you’re all subject to it. What we’re going to read goes clear back to Gen. 2 & 3.
Why is it that when something good comes along it never lasts? Or someone else replaces them who is evil, like we have with the Presidents here in America. How does that work? They always say that ‘we’ll give power back to the people.’ Well, how did you get it in the first place to give it back to them? But they never give it back to the people, because when they say that need to get rid of this… No, we all benefit from this! ‘We’ve got to get rid of that…’ We’ll we do a token so it looks like we’re doing something!
- Why?
I want you to think on this:
- What happened to Adam and Eve? They believed the serpent and they ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil!
In the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil there is good and there is evil. I don’t which side of the tree is good and which side is evil, or if it’s all mixed up together.
Think about a tree, it has sap, and the sap is the life of the tree. With the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, that sap comes from Satan the devil. That’s why he entices with a benefit that appears good that he knows in the long run is going to boomerang on them.
- How does the tree work with the sap flows? It’s the same sap going into the good and into the evil!
When everything that men do—without God—that looks really good and may be good for a while, it turns evil and ugly.
- Why? Because it comes from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good andEvil!
- What does this tell us? Something very profound concerning:
- God’s way
- our life
- what we do
- how we do it
Let’s understand that all the good actions of people, apart from God, will always end in destruction, because that good doesn’t come from God, it comes from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil! The basis of that has evil inheritantly in it for its ultimate destruction.
That which is grossly evil and direct worship of Satan the devil… And that is true and it is that way in the world. Remember what Satan told Jesus: If you will worship me, I’ll give you the whole world and everything in it!
That’s why the super-elite and the super-rich—regardless of nation, nationality, color, whatever—worship Satan! He has given them the wealth.
Once in a while you find a man like Trump. This is not to ‘Trumpize’ everything, but no man in the history of the United States has been more investigated in every little detail of his life than Donald Trump. He’s had mistakes in his life, that’s true. But he’s been honest. They subpoenaed all of his business records, they’ve been pouring over them for months, and there’s nothing wrong with them.
Once in a while you find someone like that. When they rise in power, as he did, and he states he’s going to go after the wicked ones—which he did—the whole system turns against him. Why? Because those in the system don’t dare let themselves be exposed as corrupt and liars and cheats like the whole Biden ‘Crime Family’ with Hunter, the pervert, running it!
That’s just one example! You can examine it in different way with different people and you will see the same thing. We are where we are because of:
- evil
- lawlessness
- satanism
Here we are as a Church, and the Church has the same thing planted before them. This is to every man, woman and child regardless of age everywhere on the earth. We will see that God also judges nations. Whether you have the Word of God or not, this is a fact that is there:
Deuteronomy 30:15: “Behold, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil.”
This is to the carnal nation of Israel. So, the life and good would come from obeying the Laws of God in the letter of the Law. Being called to be a Christian and the kind of goodness that we have is entirely different and entirely separate and above all of that, because it is spiritual. It is based upon love. You need to understand that.
Just because a person in the world is ‘good’ doesn’t not mean that they’re a candidate for eternal life. “…I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil.”
Verse 16: “In that I command you…”
Here’s a command from God! What did God say? We’re to diligently keep all of His commandments! What about this one?
“…this day to love the LORD your God…” (v 16).
True love and true commitment to God—whether in the letter as a carnal nation or people; or in the Spirit for eternal life for those who have the Spirit of God—love is the basic thing that needs to be! What is missing in government at all levels? The love of God!
“…to walk in His ways…” (v 16).
That means every way that God wants us to live! Why? Because He wants to bless us! He wants to bless carnal people, too. We’re not to sit here in the Church of God and say that we know more than the people in the world, and look down on all of them. NO!God will bless them if they keep some of the commandments of God in the amount that they do. That has nothing to do with eternal life. But for us it’s far more important!
“…and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments so that you may live and multiply….” (v 16).
- prosperity
- good crops
- good air
- good water
- good land
Sidebar: Darlene has a company that monitors the drinking water. They have a lot of good laws to keep the water pure. Her business runs on how you analyze the water on a daily and hourly basis to see if it’s fit for the people to drink; for the benefit of the people.
That’s good, but that’s still on the fleshly level. How would like to turn on the faucet and it comes out brown? Then you smell it and you say that someone hooked the sewer up to the water.
Well, the safeguard she has through the computer programs with the water companies that she works with, there would be an automatic alarm go off and if they couldn’t figure it out they’d be on the phone to Darlene, ‘What do we do to solve this?’
Remove the fish out of the pipeline, or whatever it may be.
“…And the LORD your God shall bless you in the land where you go to possess it” (v 16).
Everyone wants that! Everyone wants the blessings of God, regardless of what they do. Does anybody here want to say, ‘Yes, God give me Your curses!’? There may be one or two, but no one is going to do that! Even the wicked want to be prospered in their wickedness.
Here it is, and this tells you where we are today as a nation:
Verse 17: “But if your heart turn away so that you will not hear, but shall be drawn away and worship other gods and serve them.”
What happens to any nation that does that? Same thing! God is no respecter of persons!
Verse 18: “I denounce to you this day…”
- What does God do? He gives warning!
- Do we heed the warning?
- What was the first thing He told Adam and Eve? Don’t eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, for in eating of it, in dying you will surely die!
- Did they listen? No!
- What happens? We all die!
It’s written in the New Testament, ‘In Adam we all die,’ and no one is going to stop it. The only thing to correct it will be the resurrection, which is God.
Think about the deceptiveness of the human mind. When we’re young and growing up, we never think about death. It’s a good thing, because we’re young and growing up. But as we mature and so forth, we still recognize—as we go to funerals and see people die and put in the grave—somehow it doesn’t dawn on us that, yes, that’s me, too; until you get a little older. Then you begin to see and understand that, yes, indeed the Word of God is always working.
“…that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days on the land where you pass over Jordan to go to possess it” (v 18).
Think about what God has done to this nation here. I remember that we went to Disney World before it was so corrupt. They had this big screens in a big circle—panoramic Circle-Vision—and you look around and it shows all about the United States: the country, mountains, plains, cattle, birds, seas and everything. It’s really, really good, a good production. All of that is going to come to an ignominious end! Just to give you one example:
How many times do you see pictures of cities on television? Tall gleaming buildings! I like to watch To Catch a Smuggler on Nat-Geo. They really do a good job. It shows New York at night, all the buildings and lights. Miami at night, all the buildings and lights. And it shows other cities.
I think of the Scripture in Rev. 16 where when the last of the seven last plagues is poured out, there’s a great earthquake and what happens? All the cities of the world collapse! I think: All those buildings, everything, that’s terror!
It’s going to happen, because God said it’s going to happen! Why? Because at the end-time sin multiplies and expands exponentially to where everything gets out of control! We’re seeing that in its beginning stages right now.
Here’s what God says, and remember that even in difficult times God has angels to help and guard you. This is always true:
Verse 19: “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore, choose life, so that both you and your seed may live.”
Why live? Here’s the reason, the only reason that we have life:
Verse 20: “That you may love the LORD your God, and may obey His voice, and may cleave to Him; for He is your life and the length of your days, so that you may dwell in the land, which the LORD swore to your fathers—to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob—to give it to them.”
Isn’t that amazing! Think of all the blessings that have come because of one man: Abraham! Then think of all the blessings that come from another man: Jesus Christ! It always has to start with one!
Lev. 26 tells us how God deals with the nations, and we will see one of the major keys that is important. God has designed the Bible in such a way that you cannot read it like a novel, especially when you get to the genealogies and can’t pronounce the words.
Let’s see what’s important to God for a nation to do. This talks about to the nation. Deut. 28 talks about the individuals in the nation.
Leviticus 26:1: “You shall make no idols to yourselves; and you shall not set up for yourselves graven images, or a standing pillar. And you shall not set up any image of stone in your land in order to bow down to it, for I am the LORD your God.”
What’s the first thing that people like to do? Make a memorial! He tells you what not to do, what you’re most inclined to do, and that will take you away from God.
Verse 2: “You shall keep My Sabbaths…”—which keeps you in contact with God!
Yet, the Protestants say that Christ saved us from the ‘harsh Law.’ NO! You’re wrong! The Law is not harsh! It’s the rebellion and the punishment that is harsh. If you would obey there’s no punishment and harshness. It’s for good, for a blessing!
“…and reverence My sanctuary. I am the LORD. If… [here’s the challenge again] …you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments and do them.”
Let’s see the ultimate of what God wanted them to know. Think about that for a minute! He also says in the book of Deuteronomy that ‘when the nations see you—if you obey Me—they will say what a great nation this is that God is so near to them.’
Think about it with us who are converted and God puts His Holy Spirit in us and are abiding in us. So you can see how it’s multiplied much more when you get to the New Testament. But notice what God says:
Verse 11: “And I will set My tabernacle among you….”
How about that! Isn’t that what happened with the tabernacle? The temple? When it was dedicated by Solomon that the presence of God came in so much that the priests were there and the trumpets were blowing and the singers were singing. A big cloud of God’s presence came and filled the temple. What an awesome thing that must have been to be there to see that. This was for a carnal nation!
“…And My soul shall not abhor you. And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be My people” (vs 11-12).
You would think that all the leaders, all the priests, all of those ruling the nation would look at these words and say, ‘Hey, everybody, I want you to know that this is our goal.’ Remember where we read that ‘without vision the people perish’? If they kept this in their vision, things would have been a whole lot different:
Verse 13: “I am the LORD your God Who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt from being their bondmen. And I have broken the bonds of your yoke, and made you go upright.”
See how important this is, and likewise with us; we can apply all of these things spiritually, as well!
Verse 14: “But if you will not hearken to Me… [see how important that is] …and will not do all these commandments, and ifyou shall despise My statutes… [always the choice, like with us everything we do is a choice, day-by-day, hour-by-hour] …or ifyour soul hates My judgments, so that you will not do all My commandments, so that you break My covenant; I will also do this to you…” (vs 14-16).
Then He lists out all the things that He would do. All of these things come automatically. When God set the blessing for blessing and the curses for cursing, those are set automatically! Doesn’t matter who you are, doesn’t matter where you are:
- IFyou do good—even in the world—you’ll have blessings!
- IFyou do evil, curses will automatically come upon you!
God doesn’t have to personally do it every time; He set it so it would be automatic!
Let’s look at Hezekiah who was one of the righteous kings in Israel. At that time the king of Assyria was going through the Middle East wasting all of the countries. He was on his way back from Egypt where he took lots of spoil of gold and silver, and he had all the spoil of all the other nations. They were bringing that and he was going to conquer Judea last. He had a mighty army, 180,000! The chief captain, the commander, said:
Look at what we did to all these gods; don’t say that your God is going to keep you from us. Don’t let Hezekiah lie to you and say that the Lord is going to save you.
Pretty arrogant against God! Well, he sent a letter to Hezekiah telling him to surrender. Hezekiah took the letter and went into the house of God with Isaiah the Prophet and prayed about it and God said that He would fight for them, because they blasphemed Him! It wasn’t just between the Assyrian army and the Jews, it was between God and the king and the army. Notice what happened, and this is the greatest single victory in the history of the Bible, and you can say the world. Here’s how He did it:
2-Kings 19:34: “For I will defend this city, to save it for My own sake and for My servant David’s sake.’…. [not even for Hezekiah] …And it came to pass that night, the angel of the LORD went out and struck a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. Now, when they arose early… [the generals and the leading men] …in the morning, behold, they were all dead bodies” (vs 34-35).
Here’s the general getting up in the morning and it’s real quiet. No horses making noise, no soldiers talking, it’s quiet. ‘I wonder what’s happened?’ He opens his tent and looks out and they’re all strewn on the ground, all of the men and horses, everything.
They were many days getting all the spoil and treasure that they had collected for all of their conquerings. This was like the wealth of the whole Middle East coming to King Hezekiah. They took all of this and put it in the treasury house and the temple; everything was really great. Then Hezekiah got sick!
2 Kings 20:1: “In those days Hezekiah was sick to death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, ‘Thus says the LORD, “Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.”’” Well now, that’s a friendly greeting, isn’t it?
Here’s what he did, and here’s a lesson: God always honors true repentance! Even if you have been one of the most notorious scoundrels. Remember Ahab? He killed Naboth, at least Jezebel did to get the vineyard for Ahab! God sent Elijah down there to tell Ahab that ‘You’re going to die! You’re the worst thing that ever was.’
He turned around and was going back. Ahab repented, walked tenderly, fasted and cried out to God. Here’s Elijah, who God had sent down there to tell Ahab how bad he was, and God says to Elijah:
So you see My servant Ahab? Look how he has humbled himself. Go back and tell him that he’s not going to die now, that will happen later. But because he humbled himself I’m going to spare your life for the time being.
Verse 2: “And he turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD, saying, ‘O LORD, I pray, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before You in truth and with a sincere heart, and have done good in Your sight.’ And Hezekiah wept with a great weeping” (vs 2-3).
Not only that, he and the priest that he was working with helped canonize a lot of the Bible. They know that he did it, because it is ‘hzk’ at the end of the scroll that they helped put together. Notice how quick God is; notice how quick God is:
Verse 4: “And it came to pass, before Isaiah had even gone out into the middle of the court, the Word of the Lord came to him saying, ‘Return again and tell Hezekiah the prince of My people, “Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father, ‘I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the LORD. And I will add fifteen years to your days. And I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria. And I will defend this city for My own sake, and for My servant David’s sake’”’” (vs 4-6).
He probably said, ‘Oh, I’m glad I’m a descendant of David.’ So, what happened? The ambassador’s of Babylon heard about how he was healed! They heard about the great battle that God fought for them. Don’t you think that word went around the whole Middle Eastern area that God killed 185,000 soldiers of the Assyrian army? Yes!
The Babylonians were happy! Why? Because at that time Assyria controlled Babylon, so with the army gone here come the ambassadors!
Verse 13: “And Hezekiah welcomed them…” Look what he did, and here a lesson:
After God blesses you don’t do anything stupid! That’s the lesson!
“…and showed them all the house of his precious things, the silver and the gold…” (v 13).
They were looking at that thinking: one of these days we need to come and get it!
“…and the spices, and the precious ointment, and the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures. There was nothing in his house nor in all his dominion, which Hezekiah did not show them” (v 13).
What did he do? Hezekiah took them around to this treasure house and that treasure house and over to the temple, and another treasure house. He showed them all!
They had virtually the wealth of the Middle East right there, taken from the Assyrians! God gave it him.
Verse 14—good lesson: “And Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah and said to him, ‘What did these men say? And from where did they come to you?’ And Hezekiah said, ‘They have come from a far country, from Babylon.’ And he [Isaiah] said, ‘What have they seen in your house?’ And Hezekiah answered, ‘They have seen all that is in my house. There is nothing among my treasures which I have not shown to them.’…. [remember that all of this was the gift from God] …And Isaiah said to Hezekiah, ‘Hear the Word of the Lord, “Behold, the days come when all that is in your house, and which your fathers have laid up in store until today, shall be carried into Babylon. Nothing shall be left,” says the LORD’” (vs 14-17).
Did that happen? Yes, indeed! Nebuchadnezzar got it all!
Verse 18: “And of your sons which shall issue from you, which you shall beget, they shall be taken away. And they shall be officers in the palace of the king of Babylon.”
Ever hear of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego? Yes, indeed! Notice what Hezekiah said, and compare this with his repentance when he was told he was going to die. This is a good lesson to remember. When a good blessing comes along, thank God for it! You don’t have to boast and brag about it, but just thank God for it! Know that it has come from God. Don’t get lifted up in vanity and arrogance like Hezekiah did.
Notice what he said; this reveals something about his character:
Verse 19: “And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, ‘Good is the Word of the Lord which you have spoken.’ And he said, ‘Is it not good if peace and truth are at least in my days?’” Think about that!
- What happened because he did that?
- Not only because of the treasure, but because of his attitude?
Think about that today in relationship to this country. All of the good things that have happened in this country—all the wealth that we’ve accumulated, all the things that we have done and built—now we’re under the judgment of God because we didn’t thank Him!
When we had an opportunity, when things were going well, we didn’t come back to God. We were stricken with the China plague. It didn’t make a difference that they made the virus or not. What happened? All the churches were shut down! What for? The message is that if you go to Church and you don’t come to honor God and you don’t keep God’s days, He’s going to shut it all down!
Why? Because when the good days were here you weren’t thankful and you didn’t repent! That’s true. What happened? Manasseh started out as king when he was 12-years-old. He was the worst king of all the kings of Judah. The son of Hezekiah! He reigned for 55 years! Let’s see what he did:
2-Kings 21:1: “Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign. And he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hephzibah. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD…” (vs 1-2).
Do we have a President today… We can be thankful there are elections and they can’t be anymore than four years. But can you imagine 55 years of Biden? And Hunter becomes his Secretary of State?
“…after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel For he built up again the high places which his father Hezekiah had destroyed. And he erected altars for Baal and made a grove as Ahab king of Israel did. And he worshiped all the host of heaven and served them” (vs 2-3).
What do we have today, and this is going to be a real test? We do have coming from a number of states to the Supreme Court, various cases concerning abortion! That is the greatest sin of America—62-million! Certain states have already passed laws that if there’s a heartbeat—which is in 4-6 weeks—no abortion. Well, a woman doesn’t know she’s pregnant until about that time.
So, in effect, this would virtually nullify Roe vs Wade. IF the Supreme Court does right and rules that you can’t have abortion when there’s a heartbeat, and IF the states will follow thru then we may have a little easing of all of the difficulties coming against us.
But what should really be done is not possible to do. That is that the country should destroy every Planned Parenthood building and raze it to the ground. There needs to be vast repentance by all the politicians who promoted abortion, by all the women who had abortions, and probably a lot of them have already repented, because after the abortion they now see what they did.
IF that would happen, God could reset all the prophecies! I talked to a man and he was one of those anti-abortion people. I told him about the DVD that we did for Church at Home: America’s Greatest Sin. That’s two or three years ago now. At that time it was 55-million, now it’s 62-million.
I talked to him and virtually told him what I just mentioned here. He was talking about the emblem for Planned Parenthood. That’s supposed to be PP for Planned Parenthood. I told him, ‘NO! You re-look at that, because it symbolizes something worse. The ‘Ps’ are not upright, the top is bent over, and that is symbolic of a broken womb! That is a perfect description of it!
Unless they do, and it continues this way and with all the things that are listed here in 2-Kings 21 that Manasseh did:
- innocent blood
- adultery
- perversion
If you want to know the worst perversion there is now, it is chemical sex change and surgical sex change of young children. They can go to the school and tell the nurse: a girl say she wants to be a boy and she can start receiving testosterone injections without the parents even knowing. That’s in the law! That has to be eliminated! Likewise with boys.
Now they’re finding out after they have this done worst perversion thing that there is in the world, what do these poor people do who have gone through it? Who now reject it? That has to be eliminated.
Until those two things are done, you can build a 100-foot wall, but the immigrants will come. For every aborted child an immigrant is going to come!
Matt. 6:24 is something that every politician better learn, and every one of us better learn, as well, especially all of the Protestants who keep Sunday. You’re going to hear me say it over and over again about Protestant preachers who lie and say that the Law has been done away and you don’t need to keep the Sabbath! I’m going to give a sermon pretty quickly about what it means to be under Law vs under grace.
The way the Protestants have is totally backward! But until they—and they all know—which day is the Sabbath. You can ask any one of them:
- Which day does the Bible say is the day that we should worship on?
- Saturday?
or
- Sunday?
He’ll tell you Saturday, ‘But we do it Sunday!’
- What happens when you have something like that?
- What are you actually doing when someone says, and has the audacity to correct God?
- What are they doing? They’re not just making it convenient for people!
James 4:11[transcriber’s correction] says that IF “…you are not a doer of the Law… [which they’re not] …rather, you are a judge”—of the Law, and you are judging God!
- Why did You do that?
- Why don’t You make it easy for us so we can have it on Sunday?
- Why did You have to do it on Saturday?
- Why do You have all of Your Holy Days?
We want our Sunday and Halloween, Easter, etc.!
The next thing that has to happen is they need to repent! Here’s why:
Matthew 6:24: “No one is able to serve two masters…”
Can’t do that! Have you ever worked at place where there’s a squabble between the boss and the next to the boss? One says this, the other says that! You’re sitting there wondering what to do. ‘If I do that, you’ll get mad, and if I do this, she’ll get mad. So, you do it and you get in trouble and fired.
“…for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon” (v 24).
That is true in everything that there is! That’s why you go back and look at what Hezekiah did. Instead of serving God and the ambassadors that came said, ‘What happened.’ Well, we had a great victory and God gave us a lot of things! But we have all of those safely stored away; would you like to come and see our temple?’ that would have been a different story.
So, just like Judah had Manasseh—the most evil king and the son of Hezekiah—come and rule and destroy everything! It also shows in another place that all the tent abodes around the temple he had setup for the homosexuals. If the king does it, and the priests agree with it, is anybody going to go against it? No! But that was the punishment to the people and to the priests! We have the same thing; you can’t serve two masters!
There are a lot of things that we need to understand as to what’s going on so that we’re not frustrated, so that we are not wondering why all these things are going on.
Psalm 92:1: “It is good to give thanks to the LORD and to sing praises unto Your name, O Most High, to show forth Your loving kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness every night” (vs 1-2).
Verse 5: “O LORD, how great are Your works; Your thoughts are very deep.”
That’s quite a thing! I think—and I know it’s happening to me, and it’s happening to others—that the younger that this happens to you the better off you are. That is that you begin to see the greatness of God with the universe and everything that’s made, with everything that’s on the earth. Think about it! I don’t want you to be morbid about it, but with the snap of a finger that’s how quickly we could go! Not that I want you going around thinking that you’re going to die at the next breath. No you’re not!
But that displays God’s mercy and grace that we live, we can worship Him, and we have His Spirit! Don’t get all frustrated because everything is going wrong everywhere.
Psa. 91 is one you can read every single day! Look at the promises! Look at the blessings! Think about this and it applies to each one of us personally.
Psalm 91:1: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
That’s us with the Spirit of God! That’s protection that comes from God that the world cannot see. Just like if you would go out and stand under the shade of a tree, someone looking at the tree and you standing there, they couldn’t see the shadow that’s covering you, though you’re standing in a shadow.
Verse 2: “I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in Whom I will trust.’” Always come back and:
- depend upon God
- look upon His Truth and His intervention
- look upon Him to help and guide you
Verse 3: “Surely He will deliver you from the fowler’s trap and from the destroying pestilence.”
There are some in the Churches of God who are saying—concerning the vaccine—that this is a blessing from God, because it was done in America the descendants of Abraham.
Go read and find out! Is it really a blessing? What is the greatest blessing? That you stay right with God, that you have His protection and that He leads you to understand how you can take care of your body so you won’t get it (Covid 19)!
None of here have not had it! When it first started I had quite a cold, and Jonathan had quite a cold, and I haven’t been tested to see whether I have antibodies for the plague or not. It makes no difference!
Verse 4: “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge….”
You can’t see that, but what did Jesus say of Jerusalem? Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you that kill the prophets, how often have I wanted to bring you to me, to be under the wings like a hen; but you refuse!
“…His Truth shall be your shield and buckler” (v 4). That’s why the Truth of God always has to be there!
Verse 5: “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day.” That’s quite a blessing!
- How will God do that? With His angels!
- How many angels are assigned to all of the saints around the world? I’m sure that there’s one for each one of us!
I’m sure you’ve all gone through something where you know that an angel of God did something for you to spare you. That’s how He will do it. Now notice how bad it can get, because it’s going to get bad:
Sidebar: It’s going to get bad and you do need to have some food stock handy. Look at the pipeline they cut down on the east coast. Wouldn’t take very many people to blow up some of the major highways and rail lines and cutoff the electricity and gas, and we would be left with nothing! We need to be little Josephs so that we can take care of ourselves.
Verse 7: “A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand; it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes you shall behold and see the recompense of the wicked” (vs 7-8). That will happen in full at the resurrection!
Here is God responding to us, if we respond to God they way we should every day, here’s God’s response back to us:
Verse 9: “Because you have made the LORD… [David speaking] …Who is my refuge, even the Most High, your habitation, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling” (vs 9-10).
For those who were faithful, has that not happened? You’ve already experienced it!
Verse 11: “For He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways.” There it is with the angels! What is all this telling us?
- the evil is going to come on the world
- the evil is going to come on the descendants of Israel
- the prophecies are true and sure
But IF we are right with God and trust in God and looking to Him, He will watch over us!
Verse 12: “They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and asp; the young lion and the jackal you shall trample underfoot” (vs 12-13).
Verse 14: “Because he… [you, each one of you] …has set his love upon Me…?
It all gets back the great commandment: loving God with all your heart, mind, soul and being!
“…therefore, I will deliver him; I will set him on high because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him. With long life… [How about eternal life? Is that long enough?] …I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation” (vs 14-16).
So, regardless of what’s happening in the world—and they’re all going to happen according to the Word of God—we can look to God:
- to be with us
- to help us
- to lead us
- to guide us
- to protect us
That’s what we need to learn today!
