Minister
August 16, 2011
Dear Brethren,
It has been a long, hot summer. In governments around the world, we have seen budget upheavals, gridlock, and the overloading of national debts; we have witnessed the wild ups and downs of stock markets, the depreciation of numerous fiat currencies, and a dramatic rise in the prices of gold and silver. We see wars and hear rumors of wars, and read of riots by lawless gangs. We hear of famine and starvation, droughts and floods, and massive crop failures. But, as Jesus said, “See that you do not let these things disturb you. For it is necessary that all these things take place, but THE END IS NOT YET” (Matt. 24:6).
While there may be periods of relief from time to time, this world will know no peace as long as the nations are under the sway and deception of Satan the devil, the god of this present age. We will only continue to witness chaos, turmoil and lawlessness, which will affect everyone on earth. We can expect to see all end-time prophecies of the Word of God fulfilled to the utmost degree. Jesus forewarned His saints, His people and the world:“Then shall many be led into sin, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another; and many false prophets shall arise, and shall deceive many; and because lawlessness shall be multiplied, the love of many shall grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, that one shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world for a witness to all nations; and then shall the end come” (verses 10-14).
The Spirit of the Truth and the Spirit of Deception: Jesus admonished His disciples to watch and be on guard. Likewise, the apostle Paul warned that a spirit of deception would dominate in the last days: “Now the Spirit tells us explicitly that in the latter times some shall apostatize from the faith, and shall follow deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons; speaking lies in hypocrisy, their consciences having been cauterized [as if] with a hot iron” (I Tim. 4:1-2). It is absolutely true that some have followed after deceivers because they were not grounded in the truth of the Bible.
What happens when people do not believe the truth of God? “For there shall come a time when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but according to their own lusts they shall accumulate to themselves a great number of teachers, having ears itching to hear what satisfies their cravings; and they shall turn away their own ears from the truth; and they shall be turned aside unto myths” (II Tim. 4:3-4).
Remember, truth leads to more truth, error leads to more error, and deception leads to more deception. Yet, all during this process, people can repent and still choose to believe and obey the truth of God. If not, they will continue to go headlong into further deception: “But wicked men and imposters shall become worse and worse, deceiving others and being deceived themselves” (II Tim. 3:13).
As people continue to believe lies rather than the truth, there comes a point where God completely gives them over to their delusions. This is exactly what will happen to the wholeworld when the Antichrist—the final beast of Revelation 13—comes on the scene and goes into the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. “And then the lawless one will be revealed (whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth, and will destroy with the brightness of His coming); even the one whose coming is according to the inner working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in those who are perishing because THEY DID NOT RECEIVE THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH, so that they might be saved. And for this cause, God will send upon them a powerful deception that will cause them to believe the lie, so that all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but who took pleasure in unrighteousness” (II Thess. 2:8-12). The prophet Isaiah aptly describes this global deception as “the face of the covering which covers all people, and the veil that is woven over all nations” (Isa. 25:7).
In the book of Revelation, the apostle John compares this worldwide deception to a kind of drunkenness: “And one of the seven angels who had the seven vials came and spoke with me, saying to me, ‘Come here; I will show you the judgment of the great whore who sits upon many waters [peoples and multitudes and nations and languages, verse 15], with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.’ Then he carried me away in the spirit to a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet beast that had seven heads and ten horns, full of names of blasphemy. And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and was adorned with gold and pearls and precious stones; and she had a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominations and the filthiness of her fornication; and across her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” (Rev. 17:1-5).
Truly, Satan is deceiving the whole world, but we are of the truth—the truth of the Word of God. This is the “dividing line” which God has established, as we find in I John: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this test you can know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God. And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not from God. And this is the spirit of antichrist, which you heard was to come, and even now it is already in the world.
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because greater is He Who is in you than the one [Satan] who is in the world. They are of the world; because of this, they speak of the world, and the world listens to them. We are of God; the one who knows God listens to us; the one who is not of God does not listen to us. By this means we know the Spirit of the truth and the spirit of the deception” (I John 4:1-6).
Keep Yourselves in the Love and Truth of God: In these trying times, we need to be diligent to keep ourselves in the love and truth of God. This is accomplished through daily prayer, study and living in the truth and commandments of God. If we stumble and sin, we need to confess our sins—for God is faithful to forgive us. Then we need to keep growing in grace and knowledge as we develop the mind and character of Jesus Christ, exactly as John wrote: “My little children, we should not love in word, nor with our tongues; rather, we should love in deed and in truth. And in this way we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him, that if our hearts condemn us [because we have sinned], God is greater than our hearts, and knows all things [and forgives us upon repentance].
“Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, then we have confidence toward God. And whatever we may ask we receive from Him because we keep His commandments and practice those things that are pleasing in His sight. And this is His commandment: that we believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and thatwe love one another, exactly as He gave commandment to us. And the one who keeps His commandments is dwelling in Him, and He in him; and by this we know that He is dwelling in us: by the Spirit which He has given to us” (I John 3:18-24). This is how we can remain in the truth of God the Father and Jesus Christ, as well as remain in God’s blessings and love and hope of salvation.
Even though we still live in this evil world, do not be discouraged. God the Father has called us, given us the Holy Spirit, and will protect us with His holy angels. So we need to lift up our heads and stir up the love and Spirit of God within us, as Paul admonished Timothy: “For this reason, I admonish you to stir up the gift of Godthat is in you by the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of sound-mindedness” (II Tim. 1:6-7).
In this mailing we are sending you the biweekly audio sermons and Church at Home DVD No. 10. This means that, to date, you have received 90 Church at Home videos. We have completed nearly 200, with about 180 fully edited and on line.
Brethren, once again, thank you for your love, prayers and faithfulness in growing and overcoming, in serving the brethren, and in helping new people. As you pray for us daily, we pray for you daily—for your steadfastness in Christ, for your healing, and for God’s grace and favor upon you. Thank you for your continued support through your tithes and offerings. May God continue to bless you with His love and grace in everything.
With love in Christ Jesus,
Fred R. Coulter

Letters From Brethren Concerning CBCG.org and Church at Home
As you will see from these letters, we are reaching out to many brethren and new people. With the books, Bible and other literature, and especially the Web sites, we are doing our part in preaching the Gospel to the world. We now have about 60,000 visitors coming to the Web sites every month. Since we started Church at Home, that number has increased by one-third, and is continuing to grow. I hope you enjoy these letters.
Dear Fred Coulter,
I would like you to know that your monthly CDs are being used by me a lot. I love the Word of God. I thought that I was well versed in the Bible, but I wasn’t. I found out by the CDs about the Passover and what it is all about.
I have been wanting The Holy Bible In Its Original Order for a long time—even dreaming of having it to study with. Then, when I received the package, I was so happy with the books, one by one, coming out of the box—Lord, What Should I Do?, The Day Jesus the Christ Died, The Seven General Epistles, God’s Plan for Mankind, A Harmony of the Gospels. Wow! I thought that was all, but there was another box still there. As I opened it, I almost felt my heart stop—I froze—it was The Holy Bible In Its Original Order. What a blessing! All of your books are great. But the Bible is the best. I use it now as I study the CDs. I don’t have the right words to say how good [they are] and how much they mean to me. Thank you. Thank you. You are in my prayers.—Best Regards, Y. P.
Dear Fred,
My husband and I have watched the DVD you sent with the books Lord, What Should I Do? and The Day Jesus the Christ Died. We read the Bible for ourselves and do not attend these pagan churches. We agree with you 100% and want to thank you for confirming our understanding of the Bible. We would like to be put on the biweekly Church list. Thank you so much for your dedication in teaching the truth. The Holy Bible In Its Original Order has gotten my curiosity, so let me know how to obtain one.—Thank you and God bless, B. L. R.
Good day Fred,
In regards to the most recent CD—concerning the national debt, the soon-coming one-world government, etc.—it is most enlightening. I have been glued to the sermons for the past two days. I thank God for you and His teachings every day. Since God called me almost two years ago, through your teachings and God’s Holy Spirit, I have learned so much. I absolutely cherish the days I am on fire for God and His Word. In spite of my daily trials, as each new day arrives it is easier to recognize how to handle these difficulties and stand with the armor of God protecting me.—Thank you so much, C. A.
Dear Fred,
We received a few of your DVDs from a friend in our church some months ago. It was the Church at Home series. We truly enjoyed them. Unfortunately, we do not have a computer or access to the Internet to get these on a regular basis. But we visit with members on Wednesdays where we listen to a single sermon. We then discuss its contents.
I have decided to begin sending my tithe to you. There is no doubt that you are speaking the truth and going the way of the Kingdom of God. We are very conservative in the way we believe and find few people of the same mind. We are, no doubt, refreshed to hear the truth, the whole truth. I write these things not to puff you up. You know, as well as we do, that as long as we are living we need to seek the Lord with all our hearts.
We appreciate you and all that the CBCG does, and pray that the tithes will be used for good causes, for it is indeed God’s money! We have a DVD player, as well as a CD player. We have been receiving the CDs, which are all good. More DVDs of Church at Home would be a blessing to us.—W. & T. S
Fred,
My son and I enjoy your sermons so much. My son prefers seeing a sermon, like Church at Home. As long as I can hear them is just fine for me. You cover the subject so well that by the time you are through we have an understanding that we’ve never had before. Thank you for all the material. Also, we really love our Bibles.—J. F. & C. G.
Dear Fred,
Thank you for your time and effort in this ministry. I’ve not found one that speaks the truth of God as I hear in your messages. I enjoyed reading the “Fourteen Rules of Bible Study” on the Church at Home site. Your sites are bookmarked on my computer and will be used often. I found it very refreshing to hear so much of God’s Word being given without tradition or man’s opinion, since religion can take one to “hell” as fast or faster than anything else. Thank you. I know I will be getting more MEAT thru this ministry.— P.C.
Hello Fred,
We are thanking you all so very much for the wonderful Church at Home DVDs. They are just the best of the best. We are having really happy and informative Sabbaths, with Bibles and pens out to follow along with the messages. You explain everything so plainly that we can clearly understand the point that you are making. And if need be, we can listen to it again and again, as we always do. We just want to say “thank you for coming into our home” and sharing with us—actually teaching us from God’s Holy Word. We are overjoyed with all the material we are receiving. It has blessed us—you have no idea how much. Thanking everyone for these wonderful DVDs.—Sincerely, A. M.
Hi Fred,
We just received the latest CDs. We spent the whole Sabbath listening to “The Coming One World Religion.” It was a good one. I took 12 pages of notes and hope to use your material for my next sermon. I don’t know what I’d do without your material.
We don’t get anything about the New World Order, One World Government, World Bank, military, religion or anything. In fact, I got shutdown for my sermon a year ago about the Committee of 300. It seems that it’s taboo or too hot to handle. But the brethren seem hungry and appreciative of it. I didn’t know Governor Perry had called a fast for today, until I got into your first CD. We appreciate the “heads up” and your input on world affairs that you knit into the messages. I was telling my wife that this reminded me of the messages we used to get at church back in 1971, when I first started attending.—All the best, B. B.
Greetings from high and dry West Virginia,
We have just listened to “The Coming Economic Tribulation” sermon. Wow! Was it ever on the mark. Things are getting bad pretty quickly in these last few months. Work around here is pretty scarce. If you have a job, you had better keep it. There are a lot of homes, about 30-40%, for sale. I work a garbage pickup route and I can see what most others don’t see. The unemployment rate is high here—about 11-12%. A lot of people have had their benefits cut off and have no steady income. I feel blessed to have a job that is steady at 50 hours a week and no problems with the Sabbath or days off—without much chance of getting laid off.
Thank you for what you are doing in God’s name. You hold nothing back and that is great. Our former association was very careful about what they said in the public ear. We have learned so much from CBCG. You’re in our prayers each day.—T. & K. H.
Dear Fred,
You made a very good selection of a speaker in Michael Heiss! He held our interest and was to the point. He is quite good in his understanding and explanations. We would love to hear him again on other subjects. Again, thanks. Continue to send more MP3s and Church at Home DVDs as you prepare them. We follow daily and each Sabbath.—T. M., FL
Hi Fred,
We have had a great summer here in North Dakota. We had the opportunity to meet with a Methodist Bible Study group on Wednesday night here in Fargo. The minister believes in the Sabbath, Holy Days, and has even given a sermon against Xmas and Easter. However, the congregation did not approve of his talking against the Xmas tree. Maybe one day he will have the courage to stand up for what he believes to be true. We gave him a paperback edition of The Holy Bible In Its Original Order. He was very excited and appreciative.—D. & P.
Hello Fred,
I wanted to write you and thank you for a very balanced approach in a sermon you did on 5/26/2011, “Eating Out on the Sabbath or Not.” I’ve been doing studies on this subject and felt compelled not to eat out at all. Many of the same scriptures you used were ones I had been using in my study, but there were quite a few others that I had not known. I have read many of the arguments, pro and con, from other groups; but after listening to your CD and praying about this, I believe God has shown me, as you stated, that we are not living in the same conditions as ancient Israel. Forsaking the assembly of brethren in sharing a meal (because one has to travel) would not be living Matt. 23:23—mercy, compassion and faith. By the same token, using the Sabbath just to eat out every week because one doesn’t want to cook or prepare is not wise either. Although Scripture does not say whether to eat out or not, Jesus emphasized the weightier matters of the law, as you portrayed in your message. So now I won’t feel guilty when the need arises to eat out because of travel or [in order] to be with brethren. Thanks so much for that.—Your brother in Christ, D. R.
From CBCG site user…
Thank you!! I have been following your ministry for about two years now. I am so excited about your new Web site and your Church at Home ministry. I have not found a splinter church that is preparing the people. You are the exception. Thank you. I look forward to new postings. I love the video section. It is great to be able to put a face to all the sermons and studies I have been listening to.
Short E-mails To Church at Home
Mr. Coulter,
I just want to say that this Web site is the best idea you could have thought of! You have no idea how much this site is impacting my thinking and learning about God! Scriptures that I have read over and over (and really didn’t understand) have been opened up and given to me on a silver platter! The way you break down every scripture in “layman’s terms” has helped me to see the Word of God on a deeper level.
You shocked me in the video “The World is Obsessed With Sex” when you mentioned “sexual texting”—of people showing their body parts! My mouth literally dropped because I was surprised to know that you knew about that!
I had recently experienced that with a guy I met. We talked a couple times and texted back and forth. Next thing I know, he sends me [an offensive picture]! I was offended and appalled and very upset because he had talked with me long enough to know what kind of woman I was. And I made sure to let him know!
Shortly after that I had talked with a girlfriend of mine who said the same thing happened to her. Her reaction was like mine. So I came to the conclusion that this was the “new age” way of introducing yourself to someone new. And then, two weeks later, I listened to that video and you said it! Wow! I know you are an older man, but you’re more “in the loop” than I thought! :) No offense! Anyway, I am really enjoying all of this grand information and true pearls of wisdom from God that you are giving. You remind me of Jeremiah in the Bible! And you portray Italian demeanor when you speak. Do you have Italian blood? [Not a drop.] Well, thank you for your services. It is greatly appreciated and needed! And keep it coming!—C. P., NM
Excited about Church at Home…
A very well-designed Web site. And the information contained therein is truly life enriching. Something the “Church of God” throughout the centuries could have only dreamed about, and the reach of this media is awesome—worldwide (with existing technology). This Web site puts the tiny works of Herbert W. Armstrong and the WCG (now truly dead) to shame. And all of this is accomplished by a total commitment to ethical conduct, dedication to serving fellow man, reverence toward God, and a powerful desire for truth and the accurate propagation of the words of God through His holy men of old. And all of this is accomplished with a fraction of the staff and income of much larger groups. Bravo, bravo.—C. F., CA
Mr. Coulter,
Is there anything I can do to help? I live on the East Coast four miles from Morehead City, NC. I want to help in some way in my area. Never before have I been moved to want to become actively involved with anyone or any organization other than through tithes or offerings—but you have changed that.
I am a 61-year-old man, baptized in 1971—if I remember correctly, by Roger Foster or Randle Cobernot of the WCG, so I have been around a long time, associated with their teachings. I was “kicked out” two times. The second time I did not go back. I had a mind of my own and would not submit to their total control. I did my thinking for myself, which did not set well with their “ministers.”
So I ask, is there anything I can do here in NC to help? Advertising, business cards, anything to get Church at Home out there—because this “sick” nation needs to repent, needs to be warned. Please, how can I help?—W. M., NC
Dear Church at Home,
I would like to start receiving Church At Home audio sermons by Fred Coulter. And thank you for the info you sent; it was very informative and enlightening (Occult Holidays or Gods Holy Days—Which?, The Day Jesus the Christ Died, Lord, What Should I Do?). Thank You!—B. S., OK
Wants to be on biweekly mailing list…
How do I go about getting audio CDs? I have listened to your series on “Washing of the Water by the Word.” It was excellent and I would like to hear more.—C. P., NY
Loves Church at Home…
A friend in the United Church of God let me view your DVD video on God’s legal system. I love it and I want to view more and share them with my church brothers and sisters.—D. M., AZ
Wants more…
I would like to request Introductory Study Package No. 1. I also want to thank you for your dedication to presenting the Scriptures in a TRUTHFUL, HONEST and STRAIGHT-TO-THE-POINT fashion.—C. T., TN
Dear Fred,
Would you send me three copies of Lord, What Should I Do? I have given out my last copy and I have people who would like to read it. Thank you so much.—D. M., OH
Hello,
My mom and I watch your program. We also listen to the audio [sermons] you offer. I’m glad that you offer free books to read and all of these [additional] resources—it really benefits us. I’ll be sure to continue using your site. Thank you for the generous sharing of all these wonderful truths.—D. S., NJ
Searching…
I found this [Church at Home] site by listening to one of Mr. Coulter’s sermons. I suppose you might call that “advertising.” At any rate, I want to say that this is a wonderful extension of the work Fred Coulter has been doing for many years.—E. G., KY
I’m sorry…
The twisted one has been led to you once again by the spirit—not my choice, God’s choice. The last time I e-mailed you, I was upset because of the dreams I had—because you said they were evil, that they were Satan driven. I also said some awful things to you. God would want me to say I’m sorry; with all humbleness, I’m saying “sorry.” Now that God has returned me to you, if it is okay with you, may I return? I know I can just go to the Web site and hear the truth. But the proper thing to do is ask God to forgive me for my prideful hurt feelings, and not doubt His dreams anymore, and seek permission from you to hear the word of truth from the Holy Spirit through you. Again, my apologies for being so rude. I am no longer twisted, but understanding. THIS IS CRAZY; THE SPIRIT LED ME RIGHT BACK TO YOU.—CA [Apologies accepted!]
Hello man of God,
Greetings in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Kindly, we are moving forward in the truth of the Word of God, and we shall never slow down—but accelerate, gain more strategy, and go up! Thanks be to our God for giving us: hope in an evil world, help in a perishing world, direction in a wondering world, light in a dark world, strength in a weak and compromising world, and wisdom in an ignorant and uncaring world.
We are much blessed and encouraged with your sermons and teachings on your Web site. We are thirsty for God’s truth and welcome you to our churches. Lord willing, [you can] come and teach us this good news of the kingdom.—L. M., Kenya
Wants on the mailing list…
Please put me on your mailing list for DVDs and articles. I am a member of a Church of God Sabbath-keeping church. I was given a couple of [your] books by my sister. I would like to get the Bible Mr. Coulter has translated from the original Greek and Hebrew. Softbound is fine. Please let me know the cost. I am presently out of work now (since August, 2010), but I can pay this cost.—Thank You, M. K., GA
Dear brothers and sisters,
I am so grateful that I can visit your sites regularly. Every day I come back and study the Word of God with you. You always say, “Thank you for inviting me into your home.” I want to thank you for visiting us through your Web site! I’ve just seen parts 7 and 8 of the series on Satan the devil. Thank you for everything and God bless you and your staff.—R. M., The Netherlands
Saved from false churches…
I am a Christian, but I give up when it comes to churches. Every time I get involved in one I get hurt. I know it is my fault … but it seems like I am at my best spiritually when I worship alone at home. Please pray for me. If I can be Internet friends with someone, I would like that a lot.—R. S., TN
Found our books…
A friend of mine died last year. I had made a commitment to take care of what was necessary. Amidst their belongings were your books. Last week I did a search and found Church at Home. As I learn, some questions are in my mind with regards to domestic violence (of which I became a victim). Churches in general will not deal with the subject, perhaps due to the fact that this issue is well hidden in the church. I sustained much damage myself. Do you have some [helpful material] on this. Thank you.—In His love, S. B.
Yes, we do! Study the sermons “The Washing of the Water by the Word.” They will show you what to do and how to draw close to God.
Good day sir,
We are a small group of believers in South Africa that has come out of the Babylon Church. Do you have a contact in South Africa where I could buy the new English [Bible] translation? Is it available as a [digital] Bible?—Regards, J., Western Cape, SA
Searching…
I was surfing the Internet and came across your page. I want to commend you for the service you offer de facto spiritual refugees. Keep up the good work. I hope you have been rewarded for your desire to seek the truth and are growing in wisdom every day.—T. F., SD
Dear reader,
This is perhaps a strange question for a home church [Web site], but do you have congregations in the Netherlands? I have discovered your site and I am very happy and learning a lot. Thank you for your work and God bless you all.—R. M., The Netherlands
Dear Mr. Coulter,
Many thanks for your work on the Bible in the original order. I bought a copy a year and a half ago, and I am now halfway through my second reading. It is very educational to have this presentation—plus [being] a modern English version. I noticed you have now published a revised version.
I have just watched your two-part presentation on world religion. For me, the tendency towards “Chrislam” (or some other bastardized form) indicates the effete nature of modern religion, rather than any vibrant trend. Here in Europe, the RCC, and in particular the Vatican, is at a historic low in terms of prestige and trust among Catholics because of sex scandals and pedophilia. Ireland is in crisis. Belgium has cases in every parish. The Vatican is blamed for a persistent policy of cover-ups. It is unlikely that [the Vatican] can be a force in world religion. A collapsed religion could, however, be exploited by an expanding Islam, [especially in light of the recent] Arab [uprisings] and Iranian [arms] expansion. I would be interested in having your opinion on Islamic eschatology, which predicts the destruction of Christianity when the Mahdi comes with swords and miracles. A good book on this is Joel Richardson’s IslamicAntichrist, which goes into current Koranic exposition and the prophetic Hagith (see www.islamantichrist.com). The massive emigration of historical Christian cultures in the Middle East and Israel over the last few decades could be exacerbated and mirrored elsewhere with the disintegration or collapse of the Western monetary system and European/American dominance.—Best wishes, D. P., Belgium
