Dear Brethren,
It has been a long and difficult summer—punctuated by the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump. Then the dramatic coup within the Democratic Party dumping President Joe Biden and making Kamala Harris the new 2024 presidential candidate. In the UK, “strangers” are taking over the government as Europe is becoming politically more conservative. Prophecy tells us that this will give rise to a tightly united Europe and the King of the North—the final Beast power of Revelation 13.
Meanwhile, end time prophecies continue to develop—especially with the war between the Jews and Hamas, now nearly a year long. Jesus prophesied that a third temple will be built for the final abomination, as spoken of by Daniel the prophet. Something to watch for, indeed.
Iran continues to foment numerous smaller conflicts and terrorist attacks throughout the Middle East. Then there is the ongoing Ukraine and Russia war, now in its fourth year. The whole world is fearful that it may develop into a nuclear conflict—dragging the US, Europe, and Russia into a doomsday WWIII.
All of these events are taking place exactly as Jesus prophesied: “And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you do not let these things disturb you. For it is necessary that all these things take place, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in different places. Now all these things are the beginning of sorrows…. And then shall many be led into sin, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another; and many false prophets shall arise, and shall deceive many; and because lawlessness shall be multiplied, the love of many shall grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, that one shall be saved” (Matt. 24:6-8, 10-13).
America and the rest of the modern “lost tribes” of Israel are afflicted with countless problems—lawlessness, evil, wickedness, gross sins, political corruption, sexual perversions, and abortion. This shedding of the most innocent blood—62 million to date in America alone—is a massive and heinous sin in God’s eyes! To be sure, the heavy hand of God’s judgment will come upon this nation for this wanton, bloody sacrifice of the unborn to Satan the devil—and it will be absolutely devastating!
Notice God’s 3,500-year-old warning, spoken by Moses, about Israel’s latter days—our time right now: “Gather to me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, so that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them, for I know that after my death you will become utterly corrupt, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you. And evil will befall you in the latter days because you will do evil in the sight of the Lord to provoke Him to anger through the work of your hands” (Deut. 31:29).
In Deuteronomy 28, Moses prophesies to Israel of the many blessings for obedience and the many curses, or penalties, for disobedience—the evil and corruption that would follow them down through time. Today, we see all of them taking place—the most notable being the rise of strangers in our midst, rising above us with an accompanying surge of crime: rapes, murders, theft, including the forceful takeover of properties, houses, apartments, and even some parts of cities. Notice: “The stranger dwelling among you shall get up above you very high, and you shall come down very low. He shall loan to you, and you shall not loan to him. He shall be the head, and you shall be the tail. And all these curses shall come on you, and shall pursue you and overtake you, until you are destroyed because you did not obey the voice of the Lord your God to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you” (Deut. 28:43-45).
These blessings and curses would be upon Israel down through history—even to the time of the end: “And they shall be on you for a sign and for a wonder, and on your seed forever, because you did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness and with gladness of heart for the abundance of all things.
“Therefore you shall serve your enemies which the Lord shall send against you in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in the want of all things. And he shall put a yoke of iron on your neck until he has destroyed you. The Lord shall bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you shall not understand, a nation fierce of countenance who shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favor to the young. [This sounds a lot like China today.]
“And he shall eat the fruit of your livestock and the fruit of your land, until you are destroyed. He shall not leave you grain, wine, or oil, neither the increase of your livestock, or flocks of your sheep until he has destroyed you. And he shall besiege you within all your gates until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down throughout all the land. And he shall besiege you within all your gates throughout all your land [rural and city] which the Lord your God has given you” (Deut. 28:46-52).
The Prophet Isaiah’s Warning: A century before the northern tribes of Israel were exiled from the holy land because of their sins, God gave a powerful warning through the prophet Isaiah. It included a plea for them to repent—just as it does for us today. Otherwise, God’s judgment will fall upon us! Noticed how this warning describes the condition of our nation today: “Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for the Lord has spoken, ‘I have reared and brought up children, but they have rebelled against Me. The ox knows his owner, and the donkey his master’s crib; but Israel does not know Me; My people do not understand. Ah, sinful nation, a people burdened with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the Lord; they have provoked the Holy One of Israel to anger; they have gone away backward’ ” (Isa. 1:2-4).
Because of their terrible problems, God asks: “ ‘Why should you be stricken any more? You will revolt more and more; the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even to the top of the head there is no soundness in it; only wounds and bruises and putrefying sores; they have not been closed, nor bound up, nor soothed with ointment.
“ ‘Your country is a desolation, your cities are burned with fire. Strangers devour your land right in your very presence, and it is wasted, as overthrown by strangers’ ” (verses 5-7). For the few faithful then—and for the faithful of God’s true Church today—He gives this encouragement: “ ‘Except the Lord of hosts had left us a very small remnant [that is what we are], we would have been as Sodom; we would have become like Gomorrah’ ” (verse 9).
Speaking to the religious and government leaders, and to the people, God proclaims that all their hypocritical religious practices are an abomination to Him: “ ‘Hear the Word of the Lord, rulers of Sodom; give ear to the law of our God, people of Gomorrah. To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?’ says the Lord; ‘I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of he-goats. When you come to appear before Me, who has required this at your hand, to trample My courts?
“ ‘Bring no more vain sacrifices; incense is an abomination to Me—new moon and Sabbath [Sunday, sun god worship], the calling of assemblies; I cannot endure iniquity along with the solemn assembly! Your new moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; they are a trouble to Me; I am weary to bear them. And when you spread forth your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; yea, when you make many prayers, I will not hear; your hands are full of blood’ ” (verses 10-15).
If our peoples would earnestly repent, God would forgive their sins. But we have to come to God His way—not in any of the old sinful ways of the past! Notice: “ ‘Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes; cease to do evil; learn to do good; seek judgment, reprove the oppressor. Judge the orphan, plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together,’ says the Lord. ‘Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land’ ” (verses 16-19).
Then God gives a final warning: “ ‘But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword;’ for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it. ‘How has the faithful city become a harlot? It was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it—but now murderers.
“ ‘Your silver has become dross, your wine mixed with water; your rulers are rebellious, and companions of thieves; everyone loves a bribe, and is pursuing rewards; they do not judge the orphan, nor does the cause of the widow come before them.’ And the Lord, the Lordof Hosts, the Mighty One of Israel says, ‘Alas! I Myself will vent My wrath upon My foes, and avenge Myself of My enemies’ ” (verses 20-24).
As the end time descendants of ancient Israel, this is where we stand today before God.
Ezekiel’s Prophecy: Ezekiel gives us a profound prophecy that perfectly portrays the circumstances confronting us today. He clearly lays the blame on everyone—beginning with the prophets, priests, and rulers—no one is exempt! Furthermore, in Ezekiel’s time, God could not find even one man to stand in the breach to hold back His hand of judgment! Notice: “And the Word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘Son of man, say to her, “You are a land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation. There is a conspiracy of her prophets in her midst, like a roaring lion tearing the prey. They have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in her midst. Her priests have done violence to My law and have profaned My holy things. They have put no difference between the holy and the profane, and have not taught the difference between the unclean and the clean, and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.
“ ‘ “Her rulers in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood and to destroy souls, to get unjust gain. And her prophets have covered themselves with whitewash, seeing false visions and divining lies unto them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God’;’ when the Lord has not spoken. The people of the land have used oppression and committed robbery, and they have troubled the poor and needy. Yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.
“ ‘ “And I sought for a man among them who should build up a wall for the land, and stand in the breach before Me, so that I should not destroy it. But I did not find one. Therefore I have poured out My fury on them. I have burned them up with the fire of My wrath. I have recompensed their own way upon their heads,” says the Lord God’ ” (Ezek. 22:23-31).
Is There One Man or Woman Today? Is it possible that there is one man who could stand in the breach? One who believes in God. One who loves America. One who believes in law and order—and will enforce it. One who is willing to serve the people first—to benefit them, rather than pursue self-enrichment and personal power. One who will fight against the lies and corruption and bring truth and honesty to our government. Perhaps there is one man—Donald J. Trump!
No other man running for President of the United States has been so repeatedly and viciously attacked by the “Deep State.” For nearly eight years they have tried to destroy him, eliminate him—and even assassinate him. He knows God protected him from death! He has repeatedly said, “I am not supposed to be here. I am here only by the grace of Almighty God.”
Could he bring America back from the edge of utter destruction? Could he turn the tide of all the evil and corruption engulfing this nation? Could he turn our peoples back to God?
On the other hand, a case could be made that Kamala Harris, should she win, would drag this nation further into sin, wickedness, and destruction. This would also fulfill prophecies that “the stranger will rise high above us, and women will rule over us!”
God Only Knows: Since God is in full control, He alone knows. As Daniel said to King Nebuchadnezzar, God in heaven “removes kings and sets up kings” (Dan. 2:21).
Down though the history of the Church of God, various ministers have made declarations concerning the fulfilling of certain end time prophecies—but were not correct. This is why Jesus said that we do not know the day or the hour—but we are to watch! Then, in God’s time for fulfilling critical prophecies, we will know.
The Fall Feasts: This year, on the Roman Calendar, the Fall festival season appears to be late. But it is not! This past year in God’s Calendar was a leap year; a 13th month (Adar II) was added to keep the days and seasons synchronized. So on the Roman Calendar, the feasts fall on these dates: Trumpets, Thursday, October 3; Atonement, October 12—also a weekly Sabbath; Feast of Tabernacles, October 17-23; the Last Great Day, October 24.
Be sure to order the booklet God’s True Calendar. You will see how amazing God’s Calculated Calendar actually is. It is always correct! Other calendar schemes have errors and have led many people and brethren astray.

They are in-depth studies showing that the keeping of God’s biblical Sabbath and holy days is vital for salvation and understanding the Word of God. They also outline the key prophetic events of God’s master plan for all of mankind!
If we humbly continue to seek God, to do His will, and preach His Word, God promises He will continue to bless us in whatever we are doing—though we may be few and scattered. Remember, it is not by might or by power but by God’s Spirit that we are able to do what God directs us to do—individually and collectively. We pray that God will continue to bless you, protect you, heal you, and strengthen you. Thank you for your love, prayers, and continued support through your tithes and offerings. Norbert & Denise Bohnert’s Trip to the UK — August 2024
Back in August, Norbert and Denise Bohnert from CBCG Canada traveled to the UK and Ireland to visit some of the brethren scattered around those areas. What follows is Norbert’s brief summary of their trip.
Brethren, I am pleased to be writing to you today to report on our trip to the UK in August 2024. Denise, my wife, and I left Calgary, Alberta Canada, on August 6 and returned home on August 20. With the support of Fred Coulter, the CBCG office in Brockville, Ontario, and the resolute CBCG brethren, we were able to meet with a few scattered brethren in the UK who are on the CBCG mailing list. They had contacted us earlier and we followed up initially with a letter to arrange the visits.
The goal of our trip was to meet those sincere brethren in the UK and Ireland and introduce ourselves to them and begin to build a relationship with them for the future. Many of these brethren contacted the CBCG through the GTM Sabbath platform. Steve Durham initiated this very successful program of preaching and teaching the Word of God to those brethren who have committed themselves to being instructed in God’s way of life as revealed to us through the Scriptures.
We can report that our trip was highly successful, and we were able to meet up with eleven different individuals. There have been numerous faithful supporters and members of God’s Church over the years in the UK, Ireland, and Europe. Several have gone through great difficulties on the journey towards learning God’s awesome truth and plan. We know that God will certainly set those apart who remain fast to the Word of God and God’s way of life.
Each one we met with was at a different level of understanding—some having many years of experience in the Church while others were relatively new to the understanding and faith. But all of them were very enthusiastic and eager to learn more. It was such a pleasure to visit with each one of them. Of course, we can only thank our Almighty God for making this possible.
Briefly, I would like to summarize the specifics of our trip and relay what God has allowed us to accomplish:
August 5—Flew to Edinburgh, Scotland, arriving the 6th of August.
August 8-9—Flew from Edinburgh to Belfast and met with two gentlemen northwest of Belfast. Both have been with the Church for numerous years, faithfully listening to Fred regularly. It was a very inspiring and rewarding meeting with them both.
August 10—Drove south into Ireland, nearly to the southern coast, to visit a man who has faithfully been following God’s ways for several years and has stayed true to the Word and the CBCG.
August 12-13—We flew back from Dublin to Edinburgh and traveled to Leeds, England, while stopping in the Lake District to check potential locations for a future Feast site. We met a lovely lady in Leeds for lunch. She was relatively new to the truth and her background was incredibly unique—being brought up as a Sikh and yet called to learn of the true God and His Word.
August 14—Departed Leeds for Reading, England, and met up with a long-time faithful gentleman. We had a very uplifting and inspiring visit with him.
August15-16—From Reading we traveled down to Salisbury where we visited a very enthusiastic, yet relatively new, sister in Christ. We had wonderful fellowship. Her husband was most receptive to us visiting, although he has not been called. It was a pleasure to have them host us for two days. While in Salisbury, we were able to also meet up with a lovely couple and a gentleman—all were long-time members in God’s Church.
August 17—We traveled to Stratford upon Avon and met with a long-time dedicated gentleman with much experience in the Church. He has been listening to Fred for several years. He was truly a committed brother in Christ and so enjoyable to visit with.
August 18—We ventured back onto the highways and drove from the south up to Edinburgh, an exceedingly long day.
August 19—We took a train to meet in a suitable location with another gentleman, a sincere and resolute brother in Christ. We had a most enjoyable and refreshing visit with him. In the afternoon, Denise and I were able to spend a couple of hours visiting the area and enjoy the surrounding historic sites and culture.
August 20—We flew back to Canada and arrived safely that evening, after a 7½-hour flight.
As you can see, this was a whirlwind trip—and we covered significant areas and roadways. All the brethren we were able to visit with were so receptive and friendly. We were so inspired by their dedication and faithfulness to the Word of God and their commitment to following His ways. Two of the brethren were relatively new to the faith, but overall there were many years of experience and stories relayed to us about their continuing journey in walking with God. We can only thank our Almighty God for our protection throughout this trip, as He safely guided us and directed our paths during our travels. We have an active mailing list and will be reaching out to many of the brethren in those areas—including a young fellow, Zak Parry, and Graham Slee, who Fred has personally had contact with.
Brethren, God certainly blessed us with this opportunity to share with these brethren of like mind. It was so refreshing and rewarding to be able to share with them our love and dedication to God and His Word. I would remind you all to daily ask for God’s protection—as it was most obvious from this trip that Satan has a grip on this nation, with the forces of the occult being so publicly displayed and broadcast.
In closing, Denise and I would like to personally thank everyone for their support in allowing us to make this trip. We must thank our Canadian brethren and Fred for helping finance this effort with their tithes and offerings, as well as the many prayers and words of encouragement that came our way to make this happen.
