Greetings, everyone! Welcome to Sabbath services!
Here we are and time marches on. We're ready to get to August, September and then October with the Feast of Tabernacles. We're all looking forward to it.
Isn't it something that while the world is doing what it's doing, it really doesn't understand what is happening. It's exactly like it says in the book of Revelation; that Satan the devil is deceiving the whole world! That means everyone except those who have the Holy Spirit of God and stay alert!
- that's why there are lies in everything in every place
- that's why we're having the troubles that we're having now
God's hand of correction is on America. There are some people trying to do some things that are right, but will that be enough to turn it around?
Everything is being presented as 'it is good for us'! the World Economic Forum—which is very interesting—is run by Klaus Schwab[transcriber's correction] and others.

I have a report that I haven't confirmed, but it is said that even the daughter of Billy Graham praised the World Economic Forum, which is the group that is trying to bring in the one-world government, which is going to be so beneficial and probably won't happen until after a worldwide collapse of everything.
So, their proposition is that no one will own property! All of the billionaires and the investors in the world will own everything and the only thing you can do is rent it. They want to take away as many cars as they can from people and put them in buses, trains and on bicycles to 'save the world from climate catastrophe.'
They're trying to go to as much as they can with what they call 'renewable energy. I saw a special where an expert said that none of the devices that they have invented and are using for electricity—like the solar panels and windmills—cannot run without petroleum. So, if they want to get rid of all petroleum, what they want to do is put everybody back into the class of serfs in the Dark Ages.
Let's go forward and remember what I've said: The one-world system cannot be instituted without the false prophet! You have to have the false prophet, because he will be the one who helps persuade religions to get involved in it.
Rev. 13—let's examine it and see where it's heading. Let's see how powerful that this chapter is. They want to make it look like that all the people in the world are helping to bring this about when they are not! That's what's described here:
Revelation 13:1: "And I [John] stood on the sand of the sea; and I saw a beast rising up out of the sea… [we know that the waters picture Rev. 17: peoples, nations, languages, etc.] …having seven heads and ten horns… [always a sign of Satan the devil; that's his system] …and on his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy."
- against God
- against Christ
- against the Word of God
- against the principles in the Bible
- against what the Bible tells us is true
That's why they're trying to re-define everything! Yet, they can't define what a woman is!
Verse 2: "And the beast that I saw was like a leopard…"
These are the beasts from the Dan. 7; so there are these systems being integrated with one another. These go back to the ancient systems that were around when Babylon the First was here. Everything in the world today is in the system called Babylon the Great!
"…and his feet like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion; and the dragon gave him his power, and his throne and great authority" (v 2).
"…gave him his power…" Remember the temptation of Christ by Satan the devil! Let's see that, because it becomes important. When it says that Satan gave him his power, that's quite a thing! Let's also realize that Jesus said that Satan has his kingdom. What is his kingdom? On the earth!
Luke 4:5: "Then the devil led Him up into a high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.… [Satan's kingdom] …And the devil said to Him, 'I will give You all this authority… [power] …and the glory of them all; for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I desire. Therefore, if You will worship me in my presence, all things shall be Yours'" (vs 5-7).
This is why we can say with definite clarity from the Scriptures that everything about the World Economic Forum, the change that is come, and everything that's been in the world and why you look at world history—which is so fractured with wars and terrible things that go on—is because it's Satan's kingdom! He gives to whoever worships him!
So, you start looking at that, and then you tie this in with Ezek. 28. What was one of the great sins of Satan the devil?
Ezekiel 28:12: "Son of man, lift up a lamentation over the king of Tyre…"
There's the 'prince of Tyre' (v 2) and he says that he's like God. The king of Tyre is not the prince.
Verse 2: "Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre. 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said, 'I am a god, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas'; yet, you are a man and not God, though you set your heart as the heart of a god; behold, you are wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from you! With your wisdom and with your understanding you have made riches for yourselves, and have gotten gold and silver into your treasuries. By your great wisdom and by your trade you have multiplied your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches."' Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, 'Because you have set your heart as the heart of a god'" (vs 2-6).
Isn't that Satan is declared to be in the New Testament? This is talking about Satan as the power behind the prince and behind the king, which is prophetic!
Get our booklet: Does the Bible Really Say That? by Duncan MacLeod {truthofGod.org}; he shows that the prophecies against Tyre were carried out over a process of 300 years! Not all at once!
Even though when you read some of these things in the Bible, it looks like it's going to appear and take place all at once, but it doesn't.
Verse 7: "Behold, therefore, I will bring strangers upon you, the most ruthless of the nations. And they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and they shall defile your brightness. They shall bring you down to the pit…" (vs 7-8).
- Where is Satan going? Think about it for a minute! The pit here is the grave!
- But where is Satan going? Going into the abyss (Rev. 20)!
"…and you shall die the death of those slain in the midst of the seas" (v 8). The king would die, the prince would die, but not Satan!
Verse 9: "'Will you yet say before him who kills you, 'I am a god'? But you are a man, and not God, in the hand of him who kills you. You shall die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers. For I have spoken,' says the Lord GOD" (vs 9-10).
Those are some pretty powerful words, and we're going to see, in type, that this also applies to the beast of Rev. 13.
Verse 12: "Son of man, lift up a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "You seal up the measure of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. … [that's what Lucifer was before he rebelled] …You have been in Eden, the Garden of God"…'" (vs 12-13).
Let's talk about the Garden of God, the Garden of Eden. Who was in there?
- Adam
- Eve
- God
- the serpent
No one else, because there was no one else!
Adam and Eve had not yet had any children. God did not create anymore human beings. So, when it says "You have been in Eden, the Garden of God…"—the Garden of Eden—that's talking about the one who became Satan!
"…every precious stone was your covering: the ruby, the topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the turquoise, and the emerald, and gold. The workmanship of your settings and of your sockets was prepared in you in the day that you were created.… [this is how we know that Satan was a created being] …You were the anointed cherub that covers … [right up there next to God] …and I set you so; you were upon the Holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire" (vs 13-14). That's how the platform was, or where God's Throne is!
Verse 15: "You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, until iniquity was found in you."
How does all of this iniquity come about? We know from Isa. 14 that he wanted to be like the Most High!
Verse 16: "By the multitude of your merchandise…"
Look at the financial system in the world today. Look at where it's going! What has happened to every single financial system that has been in the world; sooner or later they collapse! Now we're at that point in America. We don't know how quickly it can be brought about, but the ones who are behind it; remember the five who own the world:
- Rothschilds
- Rockefellers
- George Soros
- Black Rock
- Bill Gates and company
They're the ones who control the whole economic world! It's based upon debt! It's not based upon real wealth.
Satan always does this in these economic systems: he gives it out so people prosper, and then causes them to sin and it all collapses! That's where we are today! Look at the bills that are in the Senate, trying to spend more, and more, and more money! What everyone in the Senate ought to do is go back and read the history of the Weimer Republic.
They had a currency that was not backed with gold or silver and was not real currency. It came to the point that in order to buy a loaf of bread you had to have a wheelbarrow of paper money.
It got so bad and inflation was running so fast that they had to let the workers our early so they could take the money home so their wives could go buy groceries before it went so high that by the evening you didn't have any left that you could pay for whatever you could get. Could that happen here?
Sidebar: a little warning for everyone; I don't know about you, but the ones who have been putting away gold and silver for the coming collapse of the dollar are going to be the only ones who will survive this onslaught that is coming.
Most people can't do that! Why? Because Satan has it so that everyone must spend their money in his system.
Verse 16: "By the multitude of your merchandise they have filled your midst with violence, and you have sinned. Therefore, I will cast you as profane from the mountain of God…"
When did that happen? That's one thing that a lot of people forget today, Satan still has access to God. Rev. 12 is when he's cast down.
"…and I will destroy you…" (v 16)—which can also mean bring to nothing!
Have you ever heard anyone say, 'Oh, my life is destroyed!' But they're still alive. What are they talking about? That whatever their life was—financially, physically, mentally, emotionally—has been so violated that they feel like they're destroyed, but they're still living!
Same way with Satan the devil! He is not going to be destroyed by not existing. You'll have to come to the seventh day of the Feast of Tabernacles and find out what his final punishment will be. That's quite amazing!
Verse 17: "Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness. I will cast you to the ground; I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you."
That's what we're going to do. When Satan is put into the abyss, we'll see him go there!
Verse 18: "By the multitude of your iniquities, by the unrighteousness of your trade, you have profaned your sanctuaries; therefore, I brought forth a fire from your midst; it shall devour you, and I will bring you to ashes upon the earth, before the eyes of all who see you."
The king of Tyre, the beast, is going to… What's going to happen to the beast and the false prophet? They're going to be cast into the Lake of Fire! That takes care of the physical people. But what about Satan the devil? Just shortly after he is cast into the abyss by an angel who has a large chain to bind him and seal him in the abyss.
Verse 19: "All who know you among the people shall be astonished at you; you became a terror, and you will not be any more." This is telling us all of that; he's going to be removed!
Let's understand that the financial system, the governmental system and the religious system of the world is what the 666 represents; the best of man: government, finance and religion.
Revelation 13:3: "And I saw one of his heads as if it were slain to death, but his deadly wound was healed; and the whole earth was amazed and followed the beast."
You can see how that is today. Look at how people get swept up in these movements. It's going to be an astonishing thing!
Verse 4: "And they worshiped the dragon…"
All of the problems that's going to come upon the Church at this time means that we better be strong because we're headed for martyrdom. That's not a pleasant thing to say, and it's not something people like to hear. But it's happened in the past. Wasn't Christ martyred? Yes, indeed! So, if He was, should we not ask Him for help and strength so if it comes upon us we can be strong?
"…who gave his authority to the beast. And they worshiped the beast, saying, 'Who is like the beast? Who has the power to make war against him?'" (v 4).
They're going to come up with some kind of weapon that's going to make it impossible to make war against him.
Verse 5: "And a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given to him; and authority was given to him to continue for forty-two months."
That's after the deadly wound was healed. At that time is when the martyrdom of the saints is going to occur, when the great Tribulation begins, right here:
Verse 6: "And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. And he was given power to make war against the saints… (vs 6-7).
Rev. 12—here it talks about those few from the Church who are going to go to a place of safety:
Revelation 12:13: "And when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth… [tie in Ezek. 28 and what we just read in Rev. 13] …he persecuted the woman who had brought forth the man-Child. And two wings of a great eagle were given to the woman, so that she might fly to her place in the wilderness…" (vs 13-14)—that will be a place of safety!
The world's Christianity looks upon this as the 'rapture': 'millions will be raptured and their all told that when the Tribulation comes you don't have to worry because you will be 'raptured away.' No, you won't! You won't be raptured away at all!
"…where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent…. [3-1/2 years and when the Great Tribulation begins] …And the serpent cast water out of his mouth as a river, so that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed up the river that the dragon had cast out of his mouth. Then the dragon was furious with the woman and went to make war with the rest of her seed…" (vs 14-17)
The KJV says 'remnant, which means the few who remain! But that's not true. It's the few who go to a place of safety.
- Why are they going to go to a place of safety as physical human beings?
- What was the promise of Christ concerning His Church? He would build His Church, and the gates of the grave would never prevail against it!
So, this was to specifically fulfill the word of Jesus Christ not to take millions of people away in a 'rapture.' It isn't going to happen.
"…and went to make war with the rest of her seed… [who didn't go to a place of safety] …who keep the commandments of God…" (v 17).
- Do the Protestants keep the commandments of God? Hardly!
- Do the Catholics? No!
- Do any other pagan religions keep the commandments of God? No!
"…and have the testimony of Jesus Christ" (v 17).
It's going to be something when that comes! It says here that Satan went to make war against the saints. Who is empowering the beast to make war against the people of God? Satan the devil! We will be tested! Will we be faithful to death?
Revelation 20:4—after Satan is put into the abyss: "And I saw thrones; and they that sat upon them, and judgment was given to them; and I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the Word of God…" They have guillotines today!
Sidebar: Many people do not know concerning what happened during WWII and the Nazi regime in Germany and after Germany was defeated. They killed people with a guillotine, and there was a master guillotine operator. After the war he was arrested, but not sent to prison. What did they do with him? This is unbelievable, but true: the hired him to run his guillotine to take off the heads of those who were convicted by the Nuremberg Trials. So he continued in his job of cutting off heads! The only good thing is that it's over quickly.
So, he makes war against the saints!
Revelation 13:7: "And he was given power to make war against the saints, and to overcome them…"
They're going to be able to know where anybody on earth is at any time. They're setting up the system right now. No one is going to hide or get away. That's why if they're true Christians and still in their physical bodies, and they're taken to a place of safety, they have to be protected.
Satan is angry and comes back and makes war with the rest of the saints. They're going to know! Why? We'll talk about it in just a minute, because it's going to be evident!
Years ago when I brought up the possibility of it, some people said, 'Oh no, that will never be.' Do you know what they can do to find people today? Especially if they have a cell phone? They can track you down anywhere! They're putting up more and more satellites so they can track down anyone anywhere!
Sidebar: This is going to be good as long as we have the means and ability, we will be able to use those satellites to preach the Gospel! So, we need to all be re-dedicated to what we need to be doing so we can do it at the time we need to do it!
The Catholics aren't going to do it, the Jews aren't going to do it, the Protestants aren't going to do it. If we in the Churches of God are not ready to do it—preach it and tell the world exactly what it's all about—then what are we doing? Why are we here?
"…and he was given authority over every tribe and language and nation. And all who dwell on the earth will worship him…" (vs 7-8)—because he will be labeled as 'God manifested in the flesh,' because he came back to life! The one who made it possible will be the false prophet, and he will come from Rome!
"…whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb…" (v 8).
The Book of Life was operable at the foundation of the world, not that people's names were put in there before they even existed.
- What does it tell us that we have to do as saints?
- How can it be that names of people were in there written from the foundation of the world?
- Where was their faith?
- Where was their overcoming?
- Where was their living like Christ wanted them to live?
- Where was keeping the commandments and all of that together?
It wouldn't have been there! So, you have to understand what it means from the foundation of the world! It's the Book of Life that was there from the foundation of the world, not that your name was in it at the foundation of the world! It is put in there when you are baptized and receive the Holy Spirit.
Verse 9: "If anyone has an ear, let him hear. If anyone gathers into captivity, he shall go into captivity. If anyone kills with the sword, he must be killed with the sword. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints" (vs 9-10). That means that they endure whatever comes along! We know that these times are coming!
Since we're going to be talking about the papacy, I want to tell you about a very interesting book: In the Closet of the Vatican by Frederick Martel. What is this book? I got this a number of years ago and I read the whole thing. Even the Roman Catholic Church calls itself a woman.
Revelation 17:1: "And one of the seven angels who had the seven vials came and spoke with me, saying to me, 'Come here; I will show you the judgment of the great whore who sits upon many waters; with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication'" (vs 1-2). Why use 'fornication'?
- Do you know much about the history of the Vatican? You ought to read it!
- Do you know much about the history of the Catholic Church and what they do?
It's always been the same!
I saw a program after they passed the law to do away with Roe vs Wade and you hear the Protestants say that this is a great victory of God. Yes, it is! But that's only a partial victory. There is still abortion. They say that abortion has been thrown out! No! it has to go to every state to decide, and many of them will keep abortion. They're even saying that they want to put up tents on Federal property so women can get abortions. Why not quit having illicit sex? Try that for a change! I guarantee you that you won't get pregnant!
This book documents that the Vatican, the hierarchy, those who work there—because he interviewed Cardinals and prelates—they are all homosexuals. The older men have younger assistants; doesn't that make a fine arrangement?
The author of this book was chosen to write it, because he himself is a homosexual! I'm going to tell you another astonishing thing that just happened with the pope.

Let's read about the Vatican. As I pointed out to you with this book, every sex sin is within the clergy of the Catholic Church. I don't know why some people continue in the Catholic Church and they don't understand what's going on.
Revelation 13:11: "And I saw another beast rising out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon."

- it's founded on a lie
- it's perpetuated by lies
That's why it's going to be the great 'religious' element in bring the one-world government and one-world religion. Let's see what's going to happen, because only those who have the Spirit of God will not be sucked into the system!
Verse 12: "And he exercises all the authority of the first beast before him; and he causes the earth and those who dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he performs great wonders, so that he even causes fire to come down to the earth from heaven in the sight of men" (vs 12-13). That's amazing!
With all the things going on, Satan is going to turn on those who are in the true Church of God.
Matthew 24:21: "For then shall there be Great Tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until this time, nor ever shall be again…. [we're looking at some terrible times leading up to this] …And if those days were not limited… [not cut short] …there would no flesh be saved; but for the elect's sake those days shall be limited. Then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ' … [the beast; he came back to life, there he is] …or, 'He is there,' do not believe it. For there shall arise false Christs…" (vs 21-24)—all the way down through history!
If you look up online, those who claim to be 'Christ' in the world today, you'll find a handful of them are there. They always have followers! Why? Because they're demons that bring followers to them! They get hypnotized!
Remember Jim Jones in Guyana? Go back and look at that again. Everything that Satan does starts out with a good cause to help people and using the Bible. That's what Jim Jones did, but it ended up in suicide and death with cyanide in the punch that everybody drank.
As I was watching the special on it on the American History Channel, when they were drinking the Kool-aid with the cyanide in it, he was telling them to treat the children kindly! I thought: How diabolical can Jim Jones have been? That is pure satanism!
When these miracles come, people are going to believe it!
Verse 24: "For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and they shall present great signs and wonders…" (v 24).
Why don't you believe what he did? Look at that great sign and wonder. You say you're a true Christian, let's see you do something just like that?
That's sounds just like the scribes and Pharisees saying to Jesus:
Oh, give us a sign and we'll believe You or Come down off the cross and then we'll believe You.
Even if they give it, how do you know who serves God in Truth and those who don't? Rev. 12—those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ! Unless we have that, notice what Jesus said:
"…in order to deceive, if possible, even the elect" (v 24)
Could happen! That's why we need to stay close to God!
Revelation 13:14: "And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by means of the wonders that were given to him to perform in the sight of the beast, saying to those who dwell on the earth that they should make an image for the beast, which had the wound by the sword, yet, was alive. And he was given power to give life to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast also could speak; and he causes everyone who will not worship the image of the beast to be killed. And he causes all… [this goes back to the beast] …the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, to receive a mark in their right hands, or in their foreheads so that no one may have the ability to buy and sell unless he has the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name" (vs 14-17).

I went online and saw this, but I need to get all of the things that are behind it, because this was just a flash to look at.
The representative of Rothschild was one of the daughters of the Rothschilds going to the Vatican and the pope.
As the pope and Rothschild form for inclusive capitalism.
What is that? That's the World Economic Forum! Inclusive capitalism means everybody is going to get the mark of the beast and everybody is included! It's going to be what you have heard spouted off by all of these progressives that we ought to have a set income for every person in the world.
Another detail is you won't be able to own property or cars, but you can use them. Then all that money goes back to the rich people who already have control of all the money. Now they have total power over all human beings. I'm going to have to get all of the facts on this and what happened with it. But that was really something. That fits right in with it here.
Here's something that I thought of when I read this: Years ago, clear back way before Herbert Armstrong came into the Church of God, the Church of God Seventh Day had a booklet out—which Armstrong reproduced—entitled: Mark of the Beast is Already Here. What did they name the mark of the Beast? Sunday-keeping! That's something! Nobody stopped to think about it! When you read it here:
Verse 17: "So that no one may have the ability to buy and sell unless he has the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
That means the impossibility of buying and selling! If Sunday were the mark of the beast, could you still not buy on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and for Sunday-goers, on Saturday?
So, could it be that coupled with the 1975 in Prophecy and There is a Way of Escape (old WCG publications) and telling people that 'if you join this Church (WCG)' you will escape the Tribulation, that brought a lot of people into the Church.
There were a lot Sunday-keepers who said, 'Whoa, if this is the mark of the beast, I don't want to keep Sunday anymore,' so they were more willing to keep the Sabbath. Then they were told that it's all going to end in 1975—all of us old-timers remember that—but it didn't! They had a hard time explaining that away! We were supposed to flee to a place of safety in 1972!
But that didn't happen; yet Herbert Armstrong said the week before that first week in January when we were supposed to go, 'It still may happen.' So, that week came and during Sabbath services, right in the auditorium in Pasadena he admitted that it wasn't going to happen, 'BUT God has opened a great door: 'we're able to put ads in the Reader's Digest.'
How much did those two things erode the faith of a lot of people, so when all of the corruption became known, and they began to go back to Sunday-keeping, that a lot of people just left Worldwide! Where are they? We don't know! We don't know what happened, but it shows that you can't base fulfillment of prophecy just on what you think! You have to see the evidence in Scripture and see the evidence take place!
That's why with this article, Rothschild goes to work something out with the pope. I wonder what they're trying to work out? Have you ever seen the different things that they have uncovered concerning the Vatican and the Vatican Bank? A lot of those things have been shown. The Vatican Bank was laundering all kinds of mafia money! What's going to happen now?
What we're finding is that the Beast Power must make an alliance with the pope! The pope must bring all religions under the same tent. They're not going to join each other, but they will acquiesce and accept each other. The beast is going to bring all governments under his suzerainty. The false prophet will bring all religions under his suzerainty—except the true Church of God!
This is going to be something, but it's amazing that all of this information is coming out. That now we're able to see these things and put it all together!
There are still some ministers and people in the Churches of God who say that they're either going to 'direct' the two witnesses or that they 'are one of the two witnesses.' One man said, 'I'll reveal who the other one is a little later.' That happened to be his wife! People in the Churches of God believed them! Will you believe some of these claims even from ministers in the Church; just because they're ministers in the Church? We all have to answer that before God!
Let's look at the two witnesses. This is going to come, and we're looking for when they're going to start building the temple. Here's another thing about the temple and where it's going to be built that you ought to know.
It is well known where the original temple was, and the temple that was the second temple, but was destroyed in 70A.D. We have a DVD: Jerusalem and the Lost Temple of the Jews {truthofGod.org}
Here's the thing with the temple and the Jews; you need to understand this: Until the leading rabbi of Judaism says that 'here's where to built the temple' the Jews will always think that the temple is to be built where the Mosque of Omar is. But that cannot be! Just like the Wailing Wall where the Jews go to pray, what's over the wall? The dome of the Mosque of Omar! They're praying to the wall supposedly praying to God! They don't know that the real place for building the temple is down south of that, and where the Mosque of Omar is was Fort Antonia where the legion of soldiers occupying Jerusalem lived.
That was never destroyed! But where the temple was, it was destroyed exactly as Jesus said, 'There was not one stone left upon another.' Why am I saying all of this? Because there is no minister who is going to go to Jerusalem and tell the Jews where to build the temple! Even if it is correct information, the Jews will never accept it from a Gentile—period!
It will have to come from the leading rabbi; so God will have to make it known to the leading rabbi where to build the temple so it will be in the right location. That hasn't happened, yet.
Just to show you an example of what the Jews did, remember that Herbert Armstrong would go over to Jerusalem. He had lots of friends there in Jerusalem. He gave $200,000 to build a park. Evelyn Garner was member in our Church—waiting for the resurrection now in the grave—would make trips over to Jerusalem and tried to find that park. She finally found it, and what did she find? A small little memorial, a little tiny patch of land with a little plaque on the memorial saying, Donated by Herbert W. Armstrong. So, that little patch of land was the park. That shows, for example, that the Jews will never accept any Truth from any Gentile, but will accept their money!
Now let's read about the two witnesses and we will see that they are not from the Church.
Revelation 11:1: "Then the angel gave me a measuring rod like a staff, saying, 'Arise and measure the Temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship in it.… [this shows that it must be rebuilt] …But leave out the court that is within the temple area, and do not measure it because it has been given up to the Gentiles; and they shall trample upon the Holy city for forty-two months.… [the last 3-1/2 years] …And I will give power to My two witnesses…'" (vs 1-3).
Who gives power? God! Not a minister in the Church! How presumptuous can that be!
"…and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth" (v 3).
We know that the two witnesses are the first two raised from the dead. So, in order to find out when this will begin, you have to count backward from the last Pentecost before the return of Christ, because Pentecost is the resurrection and they will be resurrected then. Count backward 1,260 days and you come to a time just after the Feast of Tabernacles! They will be raised up during that time, if that is correct. They will have a ministry of 1,260 days!
Verse 4: "These are the two olive trees, and the two lampstands that stand before the God of the earth."
This identifies them! We will go to the book of Zechariah and read about them. Notice the two olive trees and the two lampstands are filled with the power of God. The olive oil coming from the olive tree is symbolic of the power of the Holy Spirit that God is going to give them for their ministry. Look at what they can do! These two men will be the most powerful men on the face of the earth! What's that going to do to the beast and the false prophet?
It's like Moses and Aaron going to Pharaoh! Pharaoh couldn't do anything to stop them!
Verse 5: "And if anyone attempts to harm them, fire will go out of their mouths and devour their enemies…."
That's going to be something! Think about what the nightly news is going to say at that time:
Oh, these two witnesses—WOW! They're so powerful; look at what they can do. This man tried to come up do something to them, and I'm standing right here next to where the ashes of his body is, because fire came out of the mouth of one of the two prophets and burned him to a crisp!
"…For if anyone attempts to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These have authority to shut heaven so that no rain may fall in the days of their prophecy; and they have authority over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth with every plague, as often as they will" (vs 5-6). That's quite a thing; every plague of God!
Zech. 3 & 4 is the prophecy! Read all of the book of Zechariah because you will find in there that there are a lot of places showing the repentance of the Jews at the end-time. It's going to be something. When the two witnesses come on the scene there are going to be a lot of Jews who will really repent! The third Elijah is going to be the one to baptize them, not the two witnesses! The conversion of the first one is absolutely instantaneous, and a great rescue from Satan the devil.
Zechariah 3:1: "And He showed me Joshua the high priest…"
The type of that was Joshua the high priest when they were building the second temple during the days of Ezra and Nehemiah.
"…standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. And the LORD said to Satan, 'May the LORD rebuke you, Satan! May even the LORD Who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked out of the fire?'" (vs 1-2).
This is when God is going to make it known in Jerusalem, right here His power!
"…a brand plucked out of the fire…" shows that he had so many sins that it was a miraculous thing that he was transformed!
Verse 3: "Now, Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. And He answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying, 'Take the filthy garments from off him.' And to him He said, 'Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with ceremonial robes'" (vs 3-4).
He will be given those robes to begin with, but when he becomes one of the two witnesses it will be sackcloth!
Verse 5: "And I said, 'Let them set a clean miter on his head.' And they set a clean miter on his head and clothed him with garments…."
This is probably at the time that they dedicate the temple; way before the last three and a half years.
"…And the angel of the LORD stood by. And the angel of the LORD charged Joshua, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, "If you will walk in My ways… [instead of all your traditions] …and if you will keep My charge… [when I tell you to do] …then you shall also judge My house, and shall also keep My courts…"'" (vs 6-7).
This was for Joshua during the time of Ezra and Nehemiah, but a prophecy for one of the two witnesses, as we will see.
"'…and I will give you places to walk among these who stand by. Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you; for they are men wondered at, for behold, I will bring forth My Servant the Branch!.… [the coming of Jesus Christ] …For behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua: On one stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave its engraving upon it,' says the LORD of hosts, 'and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. In that day,' says the LORD of hosts, 'you shall call, each man to his neighbor, to sit under the vine and under the fig tree'" (vs 7-10).
Showing that this goes right into the Millennium! What's going to happen to both of the two witnesses? They will be raised from the dead! They will probably be instrumental in helping to raise up Judea again when Christ returns.
Zechariah 4:1: "And the angel that talked with me came again and awakened me, as a man that is awakened out of his sleep. And he said to me, 'What do you see?' And I said, 'I see, and behold, a lampstand, all of it gold, and a bowl on its top, and its seven lamps upon it, and seven pipes to the seven lamps on its top'" (vs 1-2).
This is not the one that's in the temple. The one in the temple was not build like this. Go read it. There were seven lampstands on a candelabra. It didn't have anything over it.
Verse 3: "And two olive trees beside it, one on the right side of the bowl, and the other on the left side of it."
Keep the two olive trees in mind; we will see that in Rev. 11 in just a minute.
Verse 4: "And I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, 'What are these, my lord?' Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, 'Do you know what these are?' And I said, 'No, my lord.' Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, 'This is the Word of the LORD to Zerubbabel… [the son of Shealtiel the governor of Judea, so, we have the high priest and the governor] …saying, "Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit," says the LORD of hosts'" (vs 4-6).
Think about this: the two witnesses will directly confront the beast and the false prophet! Just the two of them! That's all that God is going to use at that time.
"…Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit…" that comes from the olive oil, the power of God to do what Rev. 11 says, to call down every plague anywhere at any time whenever they choose.
Verse 7: "Who are you, O great mountain? … [the beast; one-world government] …Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain; and he shall bring forth the Headstone with shoutings, 'Grace! Grace unto it!'"' Who is the Headstone? Christ!
Verse 8: "And the Word of the LORD came to me, saying, 'The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house. His hands shall also finish it.' And you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you" (vs 8-9). That's a dual prophecy:
- putting the foundation and building the second temple during the days of Ezra
- laying the foundation during the end-time
Verse 10: "For who has despised the day of small things? … [you can't get any smaller than two men] …For they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel. These seven are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth." Tie in Rev. 1; 3; 5—the seven eyes of God!
They're going to be right there. I don't know how that's going to interface with the two witnesses. We can't answer that right now.
Verse 11: "And I answered and said to him, 'What are these two olive trees on the right side of the lampstand and on its left side?'"
What are they? These two olive trees and the lampstand are all connected together!
Verse 12: "And I answered again and said to him, 'What are the two olive branches beside the two golden pipes, emptying the golden oil out of themselves?' And he answered me and said, 'Do you not know what these are?' And I said, 'No, my lord.' And he said, 'These are the two anointed ones who stand by the LORD of the whole earth'" (vs 12-14).
Does this sound like a minister—a pipsqueak little ole minister like we all are—compared to what this is. Appoint the two witnesses? No! They're going to be chosen directly by God!
Rev.11—let's see that the last verse (Zech. 4:14) identifies the two witnesses as the high priest from the coming temple and the governor of Judea! Whoever that may be! The high priest will be of the house of Aaron, and the governor of Judea of the line of David. Wait and see!
Revelation 11:4: "These are the two olive trees… [Where did we read that? Zech. 4!] …and the two lampstands that stand before the God of the earth."
The full power of God is going to be given to them to do everything they need to do to resist the pope and the beast. This is going to be something! I mean, what a battle this is going to be! Remember that they can't kill them. They will probably say. 'Let's get the troops out there and kill them!' Nothing will kill them for 1,260 days!
Verse 5: "And if anyone attempts to harm them, fire will go out of their mouths and devour their enemies. For if anyone attempts to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These have authority to shut heaven so that no rain may fall in the days of their prophecy; and they have authority over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth with every plague, as often as they will" (vs 5-6).
Nowhere does it say that minister of God! NOTDavid Pack nor Gerald Flurry will have anything to do with the two witnesses!
Verse 7: "And when they have completed their testimony, the beast who ascends out of the abyss… [showing that it's a whole satanic system over the whole world] …will make war against them, and will overcome them, and will kill them."
They're going to think that after all that has been done for these 1,260 days now we can get things going again.
Verse 8: "And their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt… [that's what God thinks of it right now; a terrible mess and a terrible place] …where also our Lord was crucified. Then those of the peoples and tribes and languages and nations shall see their bodies three and a half days… [it will be on every cell phone, every TV everywhere] …for they will not allow their bodies to be put into tombs. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, and will make merry, and will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets had tormented those who dwell on the earth" (vs 8-10).
That's the two witnesses! After three and a half days God resurrects them from the dead and they ascend right into heaven! Last two martyred, first two resurrected!
That answers the question: Who are the two witnesses?These things are going to happen and it's just right in front of us. How quickly or how far away we don't know. But this gives us the understanding and knowledge that we need so we won't be deceived!
