Welcome to Sabbath Services! Today we are going to cover:

• Will there be a one-world religion?
• How is it going to come about?

Let's go back to the book of Revelation. The first half Rev. 13 is talking about the beast that is the civil government, while they all know you must have religion in order to control the masses. That's one of the reasons why, with all of the nonsense of the religions of this world—which they all are. I mean, even Protestantism, when you come to it, is really a—I wouldn't quite call it insanity—form of self-willedness to have Jesus and your salvation your way, rather than the way of the Bible. All the rest of the religions of the world are condemned throughout the Word of God.

• How are they going to get all religions to come together?
• How are you going to get these hard-headed Christians, and even some Sunday-keepers?

We'll have to stand up for some Sunday-keepers; they do have some principles and things like that.

• How are you going to get those wild Muslims to calm down and be able to amalgamate with other religions?

If it's going to be the one who is the pope, because he is the master of the Babylonian religions

• How are you going to get all the religions of the world to come together and agree to follow the pope?

They're not going to submit to his authority.

In Rev. 13 we start out with the world government, the civil government, and then we have the false prophet. In Revelation 17:1 we start out with Babylon the great religion: "And one of the seven angels who had the seven vials came and spoke with me, saying to me, 'Come here; I will show you the judgment of the great whore who sits upon many waters." We know that a woman is a type of the Church, so the whore then is daughter of Babylon the Great (Isa. 47).

Come over here to v 15 and we have the interpretation of the many waters: "Then he said to me, 'The waters that you saw, where the whore sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and languages.'"

Then it talks about the ten horns; notice how they're always in consort with the kings of the earth, v 2: "'With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication... [that means that they have rejected the rule of God in their governments] ...and those who dwell on the earth...'" The key thing is when you read Revelation, always remember this is talking about worldwide events.

This is why it is very difficult to understand these things going back even 75 years ago. They could understand more than they did 200 years before that or 500 years before that. And certainly when you go back to the time that the New Testament was canonized, it was hard to conceive that this would be the whole world rather than the whole Roman Empire, which was counted as the habitable world. But you go through Revelation and read it and you see

• all the world
• all people
• all tongues
• all nations

This is a worldwide event and it wasn't meant to understand till the end-time when those things would become more apparent like they are today.

Verse 3: "Then he carried me away in the spirit to a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet beast that had seven heads and ten horns, full of names of blasphemy." It's very interesting. There are two things concerning the world order and Europe.

• How many have ever seen the ad by IBM where they take the artist rendition of where the Tower of Babel, they left off building it? IBM has an ad which says, 'What they started, we will finish.'
• Also, the European Union Parliament building in Brussels—and if you talk about the government of Belgium, they've had two years without a government. Amazing! They're still getting along, but whatever. They built it in such a way, it's a round building, but it was patterned after the Tower of Babel and they left certain parts of the building to conform to the old picture of the semi-destroyed Tower of Babylon.

Out front they have a bull and the bull pictures Zeus, and a woman riding it whose name is Europa, for Europe. A lot of people have thought that the daughters of this Babylonian system, which is centered today in Rome, were the Protestants. But that is not correct. That's only part of the story. All you have to do is get any book on the great religions of the world. Time Magazine put out a huge series on that in a big book, pictures and everything, the six main religions of the world. They all came out of ancient Babylon or a more modern-day version of Babylon, but they all came out of Babylon.

Verse 3: "Then he carried me away in the spirit to a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet beast that had seven heads and ten horns, full of names of blasphemy." Scarlet color goes along with that, along also with the Catholic Church, and so does the color red. Many people don't know it, but the pope when he's buried, is buried in a Santa Claus suit. Yes, because he is Saint Nicholas. Yes, do a little Goggle search and look up the death of the last three popes and you will find when you get to the picture of their burial, he's in a Santa Claus suit. A lot of people don't know that, and it's red. What is the redness of scarlet? A bright, bright red! That's also symbolic that it got its power by killing people. There are many symbolic things in here.

Verse 4: "And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet… [So, you have scarlet with the beast. You have purple and scarlet with the woman sitting on her.] ...and was adorned with gold and pearls and precious stones; and she had a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominations and the filthiness of her fornication; and across her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT..." (vs 4-5). Mystery means secret. Today that is surely true. Most of the people of the world do not know the origin of the Roman Catholic Church, which came from ancient Babylon.

Now, let me just give you a little historical fact here: The king of Pergamos and the kingdom of Pergamos inherited the whole system from Babylon. Remember, it talks about the Church at Pergamos, where Satan's throne is. Now there was a tremendous altar there built to Zeus—tremendous temple, tremendous altar. And, of course, who is the successor of Zeus? Well, the successor of Zeus is going to be the beast of the Rev. 13!

Let me tell you another little-known fact. That altar, they—I think it was the Germans—took that and they have it in a museum in Germany. Also before the last king of Pergamos died, he willed everything to the Roman Empire. So they were the legal inheritors of the system of Satan the devil in Pergamos.

Now, let's leap forward to Adolph Hitler. Most people don't know it, but the big coliseum that he had there in Nuremberg, where he spoke was made to be a replica of the altar of Zeus. So if you've never seen the Third Reich and the Occult, you better watch it; that'll be an eye-opener.

Now, we also have to understand that the Catholic system is occult! Buddhism is occult! Occult, not a cult. Occult means coming from Satan the devil. So is Buddhism! So is Islam! Rome is! The Protestants are not wholly locked up into the system.

She's called: "…MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH" (v 5). That is all-inclusive. That means all of the gods and religions and abominations thereto.

What is it going to take to have all people follow this system? Let me just mention: watch for a reformation within the Catholic Church. It's not going to be like it was during the Middle Ages. It's not going to be like it was up until the time of the so-called ecumenical movement of John XXIII. It is going to be modernized. Exactly how that will turn out, I don't know; we'll have to wait and see. But I'll just put a little input here, something to think about, and something to watch. According to Catholic prophecies, the pope that is now there is the next to the last pope. Their prophecies also say that the last pope is going to call himself Peter. How that'll work out we don't know.

Now, just suppose he doesn't call himself Peter, and just suppose that he dies; the Catholic Church is stuck with a problem—their prophecy failed. Have you heard of that? Like 1975 in prophecy, return of Christ in 1844, 1918, 1988, 1989, 1993, 1997 and we have the latest one here, Harold Camping 2011, May 21—and it's also interesting that he had a stroke and lost his ability to speak.

Even some of the Protestants, being mad at him, say that this may be judgment from God, because he didn't speak the truth. Before he lost his ability to speak he said, 'Hold on, I was only six months off, it's going to be October 21'—the day after the Last Great Day. We'll find out! None of the so-called Christian religions of the world understand the Bible enough to even know the signs of the times or even when we get close to it of the return of Christ.

But every one of these failures does what? It makes people reject so-called Christianity and serves a vital purpose for Satan the Devil—right? It breaks down the moral fiber of those churches in following Christ as much as they have been. You go back to Protestantism, the beginning of it, back there especially in England. They believed very seriously in everything, except they accepted the Catholic change of the Sabbath to Sunday.

Since God is no respecter of persons, when they did those things that were right, they were blessed. But what has happened to them step-by-step for the last 400 and some odd years? We're going to see a little later today, they are making one more gigantic leap toward a world religion. These are the ones they have to deal with.

Then you have to deal with the Catholics. So, maybe if that last pope dies and the world has not come to an end, what do you have to do? What happened within the Church of God when 1972 and 1975 failed? We had to reinvent ourselves—right? Rather than looking at the Bible—some did, some did not—they just reinvented themselves. Just like Harold Camping's going to have to reinvent himself now after May 21 and October 21. Well, the Catholics are going to have to reinvent themselves, too.

• How are they going to do it?
• How are they going to be accepted in the world?
• How are they going to have an affirmation to make it look like that this is the real thing from God?

The purpose of God to bring all religions together in association, not under the authority of the pope, but acquiescing to some of his authority as the leader of the world's religion? How do you do that? What is the simplest way to do that and to get all people in the world to believe it? What is the simplest way to do it, especially with our high-tech and all things that we have where people can see it happen?

Revelation 13:11: "And I saw another beast rising out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon." What do we have up here concerning the beast power? They both derive their authority from the dragon!

Verse 2: "And the beast that I saw was like a leopard, and his feet like thefeet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion; and the dragon gave him his power, and his throne and great authority." They are both empowered by Satan the Devil because he is the great dragon—correct? Yes! Verse 2 shows that the world-government system is going to be amalgamation of the types of the civilizations of the past.

There will be Satan worship, v 4: "And they worshiped the dragon, who gave his authority to the beast…." The woman is going to ride the beast. In other words, she gets her support from the political power. The beast is not riding the woman. That would be interesting to draw—wouldn't it?

Notice what happens here, v 12: "And he exercises all the authority of the first beast before him..." What is 'all of his authority'?

Verse 7: "And he was given power to make war against the saints, and to overcome them; and he was given authority over every tribe and language and nation."

Verse 12: "And he exercises all the authority of the first beast before him; and he causes the earth and those who dwell therein to worship the first beast... [the personification of Satan] ...whose deadly wound was healed. And he performs great wonders... [that's how they're going to convince the people] ...so that he even causes fire to come down to the earth from heaven in the sight of men" (vs 12-13).

With our technology today, is everybody going to be able to see that? Since we're all judging things on an emotional basis today? Look what happened, I think the best explanation that I heard of the Casey Anthony case was this: there were two trials.

1. The courtroom—the judge and jury—and what went on there.
2. The video presentation where everyone had all of their opinions running all of the time.

If you didn't see the entire closing by the defense attorney to close—how he refuted all the arguments of the prosecution—you will never understand why it came out as not guilty, even though her daughter died. It shows the weakness of the rule of law, and it shows the overreach of the prosecutor by asking for the death penalty, which requires such a high, high, high standard. But what happens? I bring this out from this point of view: People today make all their decisions, in the main, based upon feelings and emotions, rather than looking at the law.

In this case, people of the world, being deceived and following the beast power are going to follow their emotions, rather than the Word of God. Would you not conclude that's correct? And the Word of God then is the rule of law—is that not true? Yes, we'll see that concerning how to detect false prophets and things like this.

Verse 14: "And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by means of the wonders that were given to him to perform in the sight of the beast..." What is the saying going to be? Miracles! Undeniable miracles are going to take place! When they see—and they will see that recorded on television; this will go around the world—fire called down from heaven.

You're going to have experts there, scientists verifying that, yes, this was a miracle; this was fire that came down from heaven. There are a lot of people who say, 'Well, these things in Revelation are going to be fulfilled by holographic video projections.' No!It isn't going to be that, because that's going to be the first question that's going to be asked—right?

• Was this real or was this holographic?
• Did it take place or did it not?
• What if he heals a lot of people?
• What's the press going to do?
  • Go around and say, 'What was your condition before you were healed?'
  • 'What is your condition now?'

The whole world's going to believe it because 'seeing is believing.' That's how they're going to believe it. Then told them: "...should make an image for the beast..." (v 14). So, you have idolatry getting involved.

In order for it to be true in the Bible, how many times does God have to mention it? Just once! For all of those who are opposed to the Sabbath, you better think it over, because God just doesn't mention it once. The whole Bible is filled with about keeping the Sabbath and worshiping the true God.

Revelation 16:13: "Then I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet." We have the prophecy of Rev. 13 and 17; now we have him named—the false prophet!

Let's see his demise, Revelation 19:20: "And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked miracles in his presence, by which he had deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. Those two were cast alive into the Lake of Fire, which burns with brimstone."

What do we have? Four mentions! Two of them explaining whatthe false prophet is, and only two Scriptures naming him as the false prophet. That's going to have a great impact on the whole world.

If you're on the Internet or the worldwide web (as they like to call it now) look up the Parliament of World Religions. And also look up United Religions, which is headquartered right here in San Francisco. I've got a book, that shows what they're leading to with amalgamating all religions, because that's what these two organizations are looking to do. It's called the Annotated Sacred Scriptures [transcriber's note: unsure of exact title] and it's from all the religions of the world, including worldly Christianity. Let me read some things here to you.

Even some of the Sunday-keepers understand what is happening. If you're wearing a hat, hold onto it; you won't believe this. This is called Spiritual Treason Sunday. Before we get there, let's come back to Mark 9, which also shows this: The Protestant churches who understand what is happening, when I read this report, and they understand how it's going to come about, they're going to be confronted with a lot of decisions.

Now after Jesus healed this little boy, Mark 9:36: "Then He took a little child and set it in their midst; and after taking it in His arms, He said to them, 'Whoever shall receive one of such little children in My name receives Me; and whoever shall receive Me does not receive Me only, but Him Who sent Me.' Then John answered Him, saying, 'Master, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbad him because he does not follow us' But Jesus said, 'Do not forbid him; for no one who does a work of power in My name can easily speak evil of Me. And the one who is not against you is for you'" (vs 36-40).

Let's see what God said concerning the prophets of Baal. And surely if they're Sunday-keeping, they're worshiping on the day of the sun, so they're prophets of Baal, whether they like to admit it or not. But let's see how God views it. Then we will try and understand what this is that's taking place and how they're going to have some real decisions to make down the road here in the future.

Jeremiah 23:20: "The anger of the LORD shall not return... [He's talking about all these false prophets who said, 'You'll have peace, no evil will come upon you,' and so forth.] ...until He has executed and until He has performed the purposes of His heart; in the latter days you shall understand it perfectly…. [That's where we're living today.] …'I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran; I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in My counsel and had caused My people to hear My words... [Even though they're false prophets.] ...then they would have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their doings'" (vs 20-22).

Why is that? Whoever speaks the Truth of God, though maybe not all the Truth of God all the time, but when something like this comes up and they speak the Truth of God, God will honor it. But will the people hear it?

The other day I was channel-surfing and I came across Robert Schuler of the Crystal Cathedral. They are in bad financial trouble, I'll have to say. He started talking about his life, being married 65 years, so that puts him probably up between 82-85, and he was admonishing everyone concerning the seventh commandment, 'You shall not commit adultery.' If anyone, even Robert Schuler, says, 'God says you shall not commit adultery,' He will honor that. It's the other things that he preaches that God won't honor. He's not preaching to converted people. He is not preaching to those that God has called. He's preaching to carnal people in the world that want a 'religion' to become better people.

Psalm 138:1: "I will praise You with my whole heart; before the gods I will sing praise to You. I will worship toward Your Holy temple, and praise Your name for Your lovingkindness, and for Your Truth; for You have magnified Your Word above all Your name" (vs 1-2). This helps explain what did Jesus mean, 'If they're not against us, they're for us.'

On the parts that they are 'for us,' that's good. On the parts that they are against God, like amalgamating all of the pagan holidays and things into the system, God's judgment and lack of blessing is upon them. This gives us understanding that there are still some in a Protestant world out there who are still trying to hold to some basic teachings of the Bible.

Here we get this warning. I think it needs to be taken as judgment against all the Christian churches in the world. This is going to be a jaw-dropper. That's why they call it: Spiritual Treason Sunday—Dozens of Churches To Read From the Quran This Sunday

What Would Jesus Think? Churches Now Promote Islam by Michael Carl, WND June 24, 2011 (www.wnd.com)

Remember how many times I've said we'll have to watch and see how is it that the Muslims can be tamed enough to be brought into a one-world religion. Miracles will do it. Are they emotional and will accept an emotional judgment that those are true? And what if the imam says, 'Well, yes, that's great. We've been waiting for this. And by the way, there's a prophecy in the Quran about this.'

Dozens of Christian churches, from Park Hill Congregational in Denver to Hillview United Methodist in Boise, Idaho, and First United Lutheran in San Francisco to St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Honolulu, are planning to send "a message both here at home and to the Arab and Muslim world about our respect for Islam" with a time to read the Quran during worship this Sunday.

Isn't that amazing? Some very interesting comments were made. When brethren driving down here to where we meet in Fairfield, there's a whole huge billboard, which says, 'Islam: Listen to the teachings of the God of Abraham and Christ and Mohammed.' There is a big push and where's this coming from? And that takes money to do that—right? Yes, indeed! With Christianity collapsing and falling on its knees, just exactly like Patrick Buchanan wrote the book, The Death of the West. They are sent as punishment to destroy western civilization because they have rejected God.

The other comment was made, which is very interesting. This man works in a Catholic hospital and the Catholic priests of the hospital got different religions, including the Muslims, to come in and put their symbols in the Catholic chapel in the hospital, so that different people of different faiths could come into that chapel and they could worship their god. Does that sound like ecumenism or not? Who is the leader of it? The Roman Catholic Church! Let me just state this: Who is the leader behind the scenes to destroy Protestantism, from top to bottom? The Catholic Jesuits! They have succeeded in the United Kingdom and the Church of England virtually no longer exists.

Give you a little clue as to how it's going to happen. There was recently a church in Maryland that used to be Episcopalian. They split off when they had the ordination of the homosexual bishop who later married his lover and was still accepted as a bishop. That split the church. That served Rome because they want the Anglican Church destroyed. They want all Protestantism brought to its knees so they will embrace the pope.

So, guess what this church in Maryland did? Because the Catholic Church has given a dispensation for Anglican ministers who are married, they can become Catholic priests and still be married. So guess what? This Episcopal Church just went Catholic 100%!

This group that sent it out comes from the World News Daily and at the end it tells about the group, but here what's happening, it's slamming down right in the face of all Sunday-keepers. Now what are you going to do? Which then also brings up other questions. How far are you going to protect the Word of God? How much are you going to obey it? What is happening here is direct punishment for their rejecting the laws and commandments of God, the way I view it. Continuing from Spiritual Treason Sunday:

It's not just wrong, but dangerous, according to Christian trends analysts. The aim of the program, which is promoted by social activists behind the Faith Shared website...

And I'll get to that later.

...is to counter the message from Islamic activists who say opposition to their religion is the product of what they call a cottage industry of hate.

When you have freedom of religion, with no definition, this is what's going to happen.

• Did you know that the Armed Forces recognize witchcraft as a religion?
• Did you know that at the Air Force Academy in Colorado that they have an outdoor worship place for wiccans?

Once you start compromising the Word of God and not repenting and recovering what is true, then sooner or later if you continue along the path, look what's going to happen. All of these contented Protestants, now what's going to happen?

So the Interfaith Alliance and Human Rights First...

Rather than God first; 'There's a way that seems right to a man. The ends thereof are the way of death'—right? So, 'let's get along and go along!'

...is calling on Christian clergy to read portions of the Koran during their services Sunday.

The readings, supporters say, will "counter the anti-Muslim bigotry and negative stereotypes that have erupted throughout the country in the past year and led to misconceptions, distrust and in some cases, violence."

So you going to tame them by joining them? Is that how you are going to do it? We'll see some commands from God's Word here in just a minute.

Several good comments were made: Worldly Christianity has lost its way so much that they're beginning to dabble in other things, seeking to find satisfaction because there's not the Spirit of God. This comes as a judgment upon them. Counter to that, religious trends analyst Ken Silva said:

 "I would think they need to have their spiritual heads examined... [Should have done that long ago.] ...It's foolish to think that we're going to read something that originates with demons and read that in a Christian church," Silva said. The action amounts to "spiritual treason," he asserted.

So, at least they're standing up for what is right. But the question is: For how long? When Protestantism stands up there and says, 'The law has been done away,' well, let's look and see what they're saying here. Let's look at some Scriptures that God says. What's the first thing that you do? When they say the law has been done away, now they have to do a lot of dancing around the circle, because they only want to get rid of two commandments. That is the second commandment and the fourth commandment.

But let's come back here to Exodus 20 and let's see what all of this amounts to. It's more than just the second commandment. It's more than just the fourth commandment, because when you transgress one commandment, as James said, you transgress all. When you get rid of one, sooner or later you're going to get rid of all—is that not correct?

When we have a society that Jesus said, 'And lawlessness shall be multiplied.' How is it multiplied? When they are able to take lawless laws—and what do I mean by lawless laws? That's not a contradiction. Laws that do away with adherence to the Word of God are lawless laws!For example: The reason that these things are coming across is because in America we have become so politically correct and tolerant that we must accept everybody! We can't speak against homosexuals, because now it's in the law as a hate crime. We can't speak against other religions, because that is also a hate crime.

Now the Muslims are pushing this whole agenda, because the enemy has already been let in the gate. God gave a way as to how to fight the enemy. You love Him and trust Him and He said that 'if you diligently keep My commandments, I will fight for you. I will use five men to chase a hundred, and hundred shall put ten thousand to flight. But if you don't, five of them are going to chase a hundred of you, and a hundred of them will chase ten thousand of you.'

How's our war going against terrorism? All the might, all the power, all the thousands, all the money, all the ammunition, all the troops, we're still afraid of that one terrorist.

I do a lot of traveling and flying, and I always go through the pat-down. I just look upon that as a little persecution to get where I need to go. But so far they haven't violated my 'junk.' I smile and whenever I have a brand new recruit doing the thing, I tell them, 'Well, I've been through this thing so many times, I could teach your new recruits what to do.'

Exodus 20:1: "And God spoke all these words, saying, 'I am the LORD your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage…. [Only God can take us out of sin. That's what He's talking about here.] …You shall have no other gods before Me'" (vs 1-3).

Doesn't matter who you are, where you are. All of these other religions have other gods—period! When you do that you violate all the rest of them. But thinking that they can take the name of the true God and say, 'Oh, God, we're going to worship you with these other things, because these are really nice. Look at this beautiful idol of the virgin Mary with a golden crown on top. And you know we could really get a lot more converts if we just changed the name from Ishtar to Mary. Just think, we could get thousands to swell the rolls of the churches.' And that's what they've done!

They break the second one. Now this one here is very clear. And, of course, as we have covered, what is going to be the thing that the false prophet is immediately going to command everyone to do when he gets his power of miracles? And he gets his power of miracles and what is his first miracle going to be? Raising the beast back to life! Then he calls fire down from heaven to prove his authority that it's from God. Then what does he tell everyone to do? Make an idol to the beast—right?

But the second commandment is very clear—isn't it? "You shall not..." (v 4). Now what do you suppose 'shall not' means? Today you have to define to people what it means. Remember our president, after he got caught in his infamous affairs—William Clinton? How did he defend it over public television? He said, 'It depends on what 'is' is.' That's the way people view this. It depends what you mean by "You shall not…."

• What if you have good intentions in your heart?
• What if you are sincere?
• What if you believe it to the very depths of your being?
• Does that make it right?

A lot of people say, 'Well, I'm sincere.' Well, so was Charles Manson. Everybody's sincere! Even someone who says, 'Well, I'm a dirty rotten liar.' He's sincere in saying that because he's going to be a dirty rotten liar. So, sincerity is proof of nothing. The Word of God is.

God says: "You shall not make... [What's the first thing the false prophet's going to command people to do? Make an image for the beast!] ...for yourselves any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters under the earth. You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them..." (vs 4-5)—because you're going to get the wrath of God. Don't you think the Great Tribulation's going to be the wrath of God? Don't you think that all of those idolatrous empires of the past have been destroyed? Where are they today? They're gone!

For He says: "...nor serve them, for I, the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me" (v 5). You want your children cursed? Make and bow down to idols! Look the world over. Look every civilization. Look at those today on the face of the earth where they have idols. How are the children? How are the people? Maybe some of them are in better shape today because the children of Israel have rejected God and God is raising them up to correct us.

That's why China is being raised up. I got some more information I need to bring on China, too, by the way. It's not because China is righteous. It's because God is going to bless them from the point of view that they are going to develop the greatest armies in the world and He has prophesied that it's going to be done, and they are going to be raised up to do it, and God's correction's will eventually be on them (Ezek. 38-39).

Remember, the British made a great, ungodly mistake after God gave them the worldwide empire. At the time they controlled all of India and all of Afghanistan. What did the British do? They decided not to try and conquer China, but take their cities on the coast, and then they took all the opium out of Afghanistan and had the opium wars against China. Don't think for a minute that the Chinese have forgotten that. When they take over Afghanistan, which is getting close, that they will. They might even be very friendly about it, because they have a lot of workers there. And they might tell Americans, 'Well, look, you're pulling out. We've got to bring in our troops in to protect our workers. So we're going to sign an agreement with the Afghan government to bring in our troops in to give them protection and protect our workers.' And there won't be a thing that the western world can do about it.

And what will they then control? All the opium in Afghanistan! That supplies 92% of the heroin to Europe. What do you suppose they're going to do with it? Don't you think they're going to do exactly like they did there in the Vietnam War, make thousands and millions of heroin addicts of Americans who represent the power of the west?

God is going to use them as the hand of His punishment against us, because we have rejected God. So even though they have a religion full of idols, God is going to use them. But God's correction against them is going to be so absolutely fierce and is going to come in such a way, you read Ezek. 38-39, what's going to happen to them.

One comment was made: The British are mothballing their last aircraft carrier while China is building them. They also have a naval base in southern Pakistan, right on the Indian Ocean, so they can protect the exports and imports coming to China with their own navy. That'll also be handy for moving troops to the Middle East—won't it? Yes! You can send some by the roads that they're building. You can send some by troop-ships around and come up and they can get off right there at Kuwait. Be ready to fight Christ. You need to think big on these things.

Now back to the subject at hand here, v 6 here: "But showing mercy to thousands of those who love Me and keep My commandments." Is that not New Testament doctrine? What did Jesus say? 'If you love Me, keep My commandments.' That's what Jesus said. Who was Jesus? The One Who was the Lord God of the Old Testament! Yes!

Let's look at some other things concerning other gods. God made this known, but what are they doing in some of these Sunday-keeping churches? Not all of them, but what's going to happen? Satan is going to give them a spirit of success, a spirit of love, a spirit of understanding! 'Oh, what a wonderful service it was and that imam was just wonderful, and oh, so was that Hindu priest. They were so kind, and the Buddhist priest spoke so well of compassion, just like the Dalai Lama. Wish we had that in our Christian church. Well, we can have it with this amalgamation.' You can really see what's going to happen.

Exodus 23:24: "You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them.… [now we have Allah and we have the Koran.] ...And you shall not do according to their works. But you shall surely tear them down, and surely you shall smash their standing images." What do you think Christ is going to do when He comes back? Why do you think the world is going to have so much destruction? Every vestige of every temple and every idol is going to be dust, going to all be destroyed. And that's going to be the loving Jesus that so many pacifists think wouldn't raise His hand to harm a flea.

Verse 25: "And you shall serve the LORD your God, and He shall bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you." Hmmm; how's that for a healthcare plan? Very inexpensive—isn't it? What does it cost you?

• Worship of God?
• Love of God?
• Loyalty to God?
• Denying all these false gods?

Yes, that's something!

Come over here to v 32: "You shall make no covenant with them or with their gods." What did they have to do to get these imams and rabbis and Buddhist priest and Hindu priest and Orthodox priest and Catholic priest to come into the Protestant churches and all share services? They had to have an agreement—didn't they? What is an agreement? An agreement is a form of a covenant!

Verse 33: "They shall not dwell in your land lest they make you sin against Me; for if you serve their gods, it surely will be a snare to you" (v 33). Those are pretty strong words—aren't they?

Look what happened when they did it in Exo. 32. We've covered that recently, when they had the golden calf. And who is the one who fashioned it? Aaron did! Which makes you wonder. Was he an idol maker in Egypt? What was his occupation in Egypt? How did he know how to make an idol? Especially the golden calf with the horns, with the sun disk in between the two horns? And what did he do? He did the same thing that the ecumenists are doing today. Exo. 32 is prophetic death warrant of the religions of this world and a prophetic death warrant of how people will stray from God.

What did he do? Set up the idol! What did he say? Tomorrow is a feast to the Lord! 'We'll do these things to the Lord. If we do them to the Lord, isn't that wonderful? Oh, we're so good, we're so nice, we're so tolerant. Oh, we won't speak evil of anyone. Oh, we love these wonderful people.' But have you read where they are instructed to kill all Christians? 'Oh, well, they really didn't mean that.' Wait until the martyrdom comes and you'll find out.

How are people beheaded? There are two ways. What does it talk about beheaded back there in Rev. 20? Beheaded for the witness of Christ! How are people beheaded?

1. with a sword
2. guillotine

How do the Muslims do it? With a sword!Yes, indeed!

He gave warnings and warnings and warnings to the people, over and over again. That's why when any Christian church says the law has been done away they are blaspheming God. They are saying that God, Who is Lawgiver, is lawless. While God puts up with some of the things that Protestants do that are right, that is their ultimate condemnation and the judgment is coming upon them.

And part of the judgment is the amalgamation of the religions. 'You won't protect the Word of God, so I will send in all of these other religions'—and pretty soon it's going to get down to what? Do you love God? You're going to have to do it at home—right? That's why we have Church at Home.

Exodus 34:12: "Take heed to yourself, lest you make a covenant with the people... [That is, all the Canaanites that were there.] ...people of the land where you go, lest it be for a snare in the midst of you. But their altars you shall destroy, their images you shall break... [This is what the British should have done in India when they conquered India. They didn't do it.] ...For you shall worship no other god; for the LORD, Whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God; lest you make a covenant with inhabitants of the land, and they go whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice to their gods, and call you, and you eat of his sacrifice'" (vs 12-15).

'Oh, that smells so nice.' Remember what happened to the children of Israel there in Num. 25 and the children of Moab and the princes and so forth? Balaam told Balak, 'Now look, you just bring up your people to the borders of where the Israelites are camping and you set up a little feast out there. We know that they can't eat any bread and they eat very little meat and they have to eat this manna every day, three times a day. We know that they're tired of that. So you set this up out there and you get the best of the oxen and you get the best of the sheep and you have your best-looking women out there and you have the music and you have the dancing and you have the singing. And you have all of these things right close by and all the smoke is going to come up from your cooking, sacrificing, all of these animals. And the Israelites are going to be in there. And the invitation you need to send them is, come. We're nice people. Come and have something to eat with us and enjoy some meat. After all, wouldn't you like a nice bite of meat after having manna for 38 years? You think of that? What a boring diet. Come on over and have some of our beef and some of our lamb and some of our chicken.'

Verse 16: "And lest you take from their daughters for your sons, and their daughters go whoring after their gods and make your sons go whoring after their gods. You shall make no molten gods for yourselves" (vs 16-17). What happened to Solomon? Look what happened to Solomon. Every blessing of God, but he went against the Word of God because he didn't love the Word of God. Amazing—isn't it?

Yes, here's spiritual treason! How many times did God have to say it? Read all of Jeremiah. Read all of Ezekiel. Read all of Isaiah. Read the minor prophets. What was their problem? Exactly what we just read. What is our problem in the Church of God today? Well, because they're not getting growth the way that people want and there are too many ministers looking in some of the churches of God to receive the tithes and offerings of God, not to preach the gospel, but to retire. What do you think God is going to do with that? What do you think is going to happen to some of these churches of God that do that? You wait, their judgment is coming, just like it's coming upon Israel today.

Deuteronomy 12:1: "These are the statutes and judgments which you shall be careful... [or diligent] ...to do in the land which the LORD God of your fathers gives you to possess it, all the days that you live upon the earth…. [How long is the law binding upon us? From birth to death!] …You shall utterly destroy all the sacred places where the nations which you shall possess have served their gods—on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. And you shall demolish their altars and smash their standing pillars, and burn their Asherim, with fire. And you shall cut to shards the carved images of their gods, and destroy their names out of that place. You shall not do so to the LORD your God" (vs 1-4).

Can't mistake that—can you? No, you can't! So what do we want in our modern world? We want tolerance, we want acceptance! How far have we gone from God? Why is Christianity in the world falling apart? Why are there problems within the Churches of God? Very same reason! 'God is the same yesterday, today, and forever'—is He not?

Notice again, He says the same thing, but now He clarifies it, v 28: "Be careful to observe and obey all these words..."

John 14 will also tell you what's wrong with many of the Churches of God. A lot of them because they think that they are following what they consider God's only apostle on earth, that if you go by his eighteen main teachings, you're going to be just fine. They're deluded! They're following a man and they've made an idol out of a man.

John 14:15; let's see how it's required of us today. "If you love Me... [Do you love Christ? Really?] ...keep the commandments—namely, My commandments…. [consider that He was the Lord God of the Old Testament, as well] …And I will ask the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that it may be with you throughout the age: Even the Spirit of the Truth..." (vs 16-17). The Spirit of the Truth, with the washing of the water by the Word, helps us overcome a deceitful nature that we have, which nature we have to fight all of the time. And we stumble and slip and fall and sin and we need mercy and forgiveness to get up and go again.

He says here v 20: "In that day... [that He sends the Holy Spirit] ...you shall know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you. The one who has My commandments and is keeping them, that is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him'" (vs 20-21).

Judas, who was not Iscariot, couldn't understand it and he said, 'Lord, how are you going to do that?' (v 22). Let's see how this compares with what we just read, v 23: "Jesus answered and said to him, 'If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. The one who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word that you hear is not Mine, but the Father's, Who sent Me'" (vs 23-24).

So, the love of God is action first and emotion second. Most people believe the love of God is emotion first and no action later. We are going to see it's the same thing today. Haven't the Protestants done to the New Testament what the children of Israel did to the Old Testament? Yes, indeed!

Deuteronomy 12:28: "Be careful to observe and obey all... [there's that little word again] ...these words which I command you... [That's why He had it written down. You can't rely on word of mouth, because you can always change that.] ...so that it may go well with you... [God wants it to go well. God wants people to be happy. But He alone knows how they are to be happy. Not like our Constitution. Don't we acknowledge that we are 'endowed by our Creator' for the 'pursuit of happiness'? Only God knows.] ...may go well with you and with your children after you forever when you do that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD your God." Not in your own sight.

People say, 'Well, I don't agree with God on that.' God will allow you to disagree, but you immediately bring a curse upon yourself. How is that? You begin to close your eyes to the Word of God! Is that not a curse? Then you become blind spiritually! Is that not a curse? Just like the Pharisees, after Jesus healed the man who was born blind. He said He did it so that the blind could see and those who see would be blind. And the Pharisees understood that He was speaking of them. Yes!

Verse 29: "When the LORD your God shall cut off the nations before you, where you go to possess them, and you take their place and dwell in their land, take heed to yourself... [Notice the warning here. Be careful to observe.] …Take heed to yourselves that you do not become ensnared by following them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not ask about their gods, saying, 'How did these nations serve their gods that I may also do likewise?'" (vs 29-30).

'Isn't that wonderful. Let's find out what the Muslims think, bring them right in to this Christian church.' Of course, they're not going to read the section which says, 'Kill all Christians.' And, of course, the Christians are not going to read the Old Testament which says destroy all those religions. 'Oh, we're going to coddle everyone and be nice, and hugs and kisses, and aren't we so good and wonderful and tolerant and broadminded'—right? Yes!

Now in the second sermon, you're going to find out the source of this, and you are going to be absolutely shocked! Maybe some of you won't, some of you may not be.

Is this plain or not? Verse 31: "You shall not do so to the LORD your God... [That is, go borrow what they do and say, 'Oh, we're doing it to the Lord, so that's nice and fine and very good, because we're broadminded.' What did Jesus have to say about the broad way? Remember that? 'Broad is the way that leads to destruction'—correct?—'and many go in that gate.' Are they not doing it?] ...You shall not do so to the LORD your God, for every abomination to the LORD, which He hates...'"

'Oh, well, how can a God of love hate?' Because He hates the evil and He hates the sin and He hates the unrepentant sinner. If you don't believe that, go ahead and read Heb. 10 and find out what happens to those who despise the sacrifice of Christ and count it as a unholy thing. They are going to face the fiery furnace and judgment of God—correct? Yes, indeed! Is that love? No, that is hate!

Verse 31: "...which He hates, they have done to their gods; even their sons and their daughters they have burned in the fire to their gods.... [Imagine the brainwashing and the mind-numbing stupidity that comes along when people are brainwashed into believing that if they take their newborn children and sacrifice them in fire to Baal that God will bless them.] ...even their sons and their daughters they have burned in the fire to their gods."

'Oh, that was such a wonderful dedication that you gave. Oh, I know that you're crying for the time being, but you know, Moloch will bless you.'

Verse 32: "Whatsoever thing that I command you, be careful to do it. You shall not add to it, nor take away from it."

• What are they doing with these things in so-called Christian churches today?
• Are they not taking away from the Word of God and adding to it the teachings of other religions?
• Aren't they doing exactly what God said not to do?
• Why do they do it?

Because they're in a stupor of drunkenness that they think that God is lawless and has done away with His laws. When God gave His laws so it would be well with us.

There's a lot more to it, so we'll go ahead and end here and pick it up on part two.
